Also, I know my guests will want to keep on partying the night of the reception-what is there to do? Is there anything I can rent out at Dreams after the reception for late night "partying" or anything? guestimate about $350 per night for double occupancy ($175 per person/per night) but this rate will change depending on season...then add airfare. for partying...maybe if you rented conference center/ballroom you can party later...or have everyone go into town. y

I love tamales and think i am gonna try this...the reviews all say it is pretty easy. Red Chili Brisket Tamales with Cilantro Sour Cream Recipe courtesy Guy Fieri, 2007 Ingredients 3-pound beef brisket 2 tablespoons kosher salt 6 cups water, divided 4 tablespoons canola oil 2 cups enchilada sauce, store-bought 24 tamale husks 2 cups masa harina (fine corn flour) 1-2 cups water 2 tablespoons melted butter 2-3 teaspoons salt Cilantro Sour Cream: 1 container sour cream 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro leaves 1 garlic clove, minced 1 lime, juiced Salt and freshly ground black pepper Directions In medium braising pot, simmer beef in salt and 3 cups water for 1 hour or until meat can be shredded with a fork. Shred beef and let it cool completely. In a medium saute pan, add oil, and fry meat for 3 to 5 minutes or until crispy. Add enchilada sauce and simmer for 15 minutes. Soak husks in water for 30 minutes. Mix masa, water, butter and salt into a thick paste. Apply 5 tablespoons of the masa mix into the center of the corn husk. Push mix to 1-inch of the side of the husk. Add 2 tablespoons of the meat to center, fold 1 edge of the husk to the center, and then fold the other side to cover entire tamale. Fold ends over by 2-inches. Place a colander in large pot of boiling water, but do not let the colander touch the water. Place the tamales in the colander, cover and allow steam to rise to the top. Steam the tamales for 30 to 40 minutes. Meanwhile, combine all ingredients for sour cream. Cover with plastic, place in the refrigerator and let flavors meld for 30 minutes, or until ready to serve with the tamales. Salsa Verde (Green Sauce) Ingredients 2 cloves garlic, unpeeled 1 or 2 serrano chiles, seeded 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds 2 poblano chiles, roasted and peeled 3/4 cup chopped parsley leaves 1/2 bunch cilantro leaves, chopped 1/4 cup olive oil Juice of 1/2 lime Sea salt, to taste Freshly ground black pepper, to taste Directions In a dry cast iron skillet, toast the unpeeled garlic, serranos, and pumpkin seeds until browned. Peel the garlic and place in a blender with the serranos, pumpkin seeds, poblanos, parsley, cilantro, oil, and lime juice. Blend until smooth. Season with the salt and pepper.

Hi Tara, i hope this teaches your fiance a lesson about using a TA here is the information i was sent by the resort. Quote: We have some exciting news that we’d like to share with you regarding Dreams Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. On September 8th, 2008, we will start a facility enhancement and refurbishment of some key areas of the property with the purpose of refining the current installations. The refurbishment will take place in closed isolated areas of the property and concentrated at the far left hand side of the property facing the sea. Due to the location and the fact that work is being done indoors, we can manage the situation and ensure that our mutual client´s vacation will not be disturbed by noise or workers. These areas will be blocked from our guests view. We are thrilled with the project and the estimated investment will be over 7 million US, which will allow us to further differentiate and clearly set ourselves apart from the luxury competitive set in Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit. During the refurbishment, which will last until November 30th, there will be one restaurant and bar out of service along with some junior suites and tennis. The details of the refurbishment are as follows: Jr. Suite Rooms: All Jr. Suites will be completely refurbished and refurnished with 4-poster beds, sitting area with sofa and two sofa chairs, all new furniture and soft goods, artwork, lamps, flat screen televisions (27â€), double vanity, in-room tub with separate shower, shower doors, etc. This means brand new suites!! This section of the resort will also offer an exclusive Preferred Club Lounge upon completion. Images of new Jr. Suites: (i have the images if you want them) Seaside Grill Restaurant: Complete renovation including furniture, flooring, and décor. Portofino Restaurant: This restaurant will remain in service however we will relocate it with a new look including furniture, decor and ambiance. Once we open the new restaurant we will offer show cooking as well. The original Portofino location will then be expanded as part of World Café and offer our clients an in-door air-conditioned area and open air seating. Tennis Courts: During this time frame, the tennis court will not be available due to its location which is very close to the area being refurbished. Conference Center: Complete with new décor, carpets, furniture and state-of -the-art equipment. We are very excited about this project as the investment in these areas will be a fantastic upgrade to our resort. Once again the time frame will be from September 8 thru November 30th, 2008.

great spot...i also looked into getting married there but only habout 1/2 our guests could afford to stay there so we had to choose a new location.. my best friend also had her wedding scheduled there but had to cancel 3 months before when FFIL had a heart attack....they ended up having a local wedding. but with all the inquiry i did and my gf did, they were always very prompt getting back to me. i suspect the level of care and service will be pretty consistent as they are known for having some of the highest levels of service in the industry.

Do I say something about money?
TammyWright replied to hollym's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
i hope this doesnt sound harsh but it is a little strange that you expect your parents to pay for your wedding...why is it their responsibilty? we paid for our wedding and didnt expect our parents to pay for anything...my parents ended up paying for our AHR (because i didnt want one and they did so they paid...i had nothing to do with picking location, decor etc.) and husbands parents paid for the photography as a gift and it was very generous of both sets of parents but if they offered nothing it would not have bothered us. -
i think people that make this should take a pic and post it in the thread...

congrats! you can always ad info about guadalajara and be the first...i remember when annr was the first pv bride.

Vendor ?s - Doing business on the web
TammyWright replied to SummerBeachBum's topic in Destination Wedding Vendors
what type of online business? different online business differ so much that it might be better to be more specific. Quote: Originally Posted by SummerBeachBum 1. Where do you get your website templates? my husband does custom sites for bigger companies once they go "big"...he specializes in a shopping cart software for payment, etc. 3. Who designs your website? see above...except you know the old adage "the cobblers children have no shoes...." that is us 4. How do you accept payment from your customers over the web? paypal is a good option...merchant accounts get expensive...shopping cart software is very expensive. 5. What is the average cost of your web services? hmmm...very broad question...do you mean hosting? that should be around $10-20 a month for a small shared account...web services all depend on how much you can do yourself and how much you will have to pay someone to do it for you....my husband charges around $70-80 per hour. 6. Any advice when doing business on the web? start small...it may not be what you want to do... 7. And based on your answers from above, are you happy with all of your web choices thus far? yup
