  1. well, i would really look at wedding packages and where you want to get married...because i know that if i am set on getting married at dreams cabo, rates for riu are not going to really matter to me. sometimes if a bride says she wants a certain location, like cabo, and wants to be in a certain price range i will give her options of 4 or 5 locations and tell her the pros and cons of each...like, this resort is a little more expensive than the others but has top shelf liquor and wedding costs are lower...this resort is less expensive but is a party resort....etc. if you told your TA that you want to get married at moon palace there is no reason that she would give you packages for other resorts.
  2. well, they are there to help you but if you are a bride that is all over the place it can be really hard to sort of get you focused. (i'm not saying you are because i don't know your situation). you may want to do a little soul searching and figure out with your fiance where you want to get married (at least what country) and your price range and then contact a TA.
  3. when i was in real estate i went to a few houses that were haunted. i know for sure they were haunted... normally before a showing i would go into the house and turn on all the lights, etc. but this one house had this weird energy and i was afraid to go inside. my clients showed up with their dogs and their normally really calm dogs went crazy. they were locked in the car and started going ape shit like they were rabid dogs or something...foaming at the mouth, trying to jump through the windows. well, we went through the house and some of the windows were boarded. the house was really cold even though it was sunny and warm outside. i refused to go in a room by myself but of course did not say anything to my clients. i just hoped they did not like the house. well it turns out they thought the house felt "weird" and didnt make an offer... i found out later when i was telling my partner that there was a double murder in the house. it still spooks me out to think about it.
  4. my friend went to a wedding there and said it was faulous but not kid or older people friendly. i'd contact TA jennifer on the forum. she is out jamaica expert.
  5. what did you do? (in chris farley voice) i think we have all been too afraid to mess with the notifications...how did you delete them?
  6. i watch "the haunting" on the discovery channel....it is spooky!
  7. Since its crab season i thought i'd post some crab recipes. this is one of my favorite ways to make crab when i am sick of just lemon and drawn butter. I actually like tamarind crab and salt and pepper crab better but my mom makes it so i dont really know the recipe....i just let her do it. Crustacean-inspired Garlic Noodles Recipe Ingredients: 1 lb fresh noodles 4 tablespoons olive oil 3 cloves garlic (pounded) 4 tablespoons unsalted butter 2 tablespoons garlic powder 2 1/2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder 2 1/2 teaspoons oyster sauce 5 teaspoons grated parmesan cheese Method: Rince the noodles with cold water and set aside. Heat up a pot of water and let it boil. Boil the noodles in the hot water until they are done, drain the water, and set aside to cool down the noodles. In a pan, saute the garlic with the olive oil in medium heat. The purpose is to infuse the olive oil with garlicky flavor. Discard the garlic and then add in 4 tablespoons of butter and turn the heat to low. Add in the chicken bouillon powder, garlic powder, oyster sauce and blend well. Set aside to let it cool. Once the garlic mixture is cool and the noodles are cool at room temperature, pour the garlic mixture over the noodles and toss them together to blend well. Add in the grated parmesan cheese, toss well, and serve immediately. Crustacean-inspired Roasted Crab Recipe Ingredients: 1 Dungeness Crab (about 2 lbs) 1 stick unsalted butter/8 tablespoons 6-8 cloves garlic (chopped coarsely) 1 small onion finely chopped 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon powder (optional) 2 teaspoons black pepper (cracked using a mortar and pestle) 1/4 teaspoon sugar Method: Clean and chop the crab into small pieces. Heat up the butter in a wok (between medium to low heat) and saute the garlic and onion until aromatic, but not brown. Add in the black peppers, red chili flakes, chicken bouillon powder, and then add in the crab and stir well. Add in the sugar and cook the crab until half done. Dish out and bake it in the oven at 350 degree F for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot with garlic noodles.

hi nathanial, its tammy...just testing the forum upgrade
  19. nathanial, thanks for sharing the beautiful pics and the idea.... my resort also offered tequila tastings but i thought it was a bad idea for my group. my sister can be a boozer
  20. rafael is a great vendor on the forum. he gave a free wedding package so i am sure you will see more reviews of him soon. in fact, magda, can you post your review of him on the forum in its own thread. i think it would be great for other brides to see
  21. if people will pay it then it is priced where it should be. the market has spoken. basic supply and demand.
  22. this is a good example why vendors should read the vendor rules that are sent to by pm when they first log in.
  23. bestbride, you do know that your first post introducing yourself is the ONLY post you get to share your information. also, it would be appreciated if you changed your name to your business name and mark yourself as a vendor. having a name like "bestbride" and being a vendor can be a little deceiving. i hope you do this soon, or i will do it for you.
