  1. i am also a dreams cabo bride and was just there last week meeting with yarai. she is great. i have my review in my siggy.
  2. I just got back from cabo last week and am over 5 months pregnant. Last time I went when I was 6 months pregnant. There was a lady next to me on tha plane 6.5 months pregnant. Lots of people go on babymoons now. I personally wouldn't travel at 34 weeks because I get so friggin big it starts to get really uncomfortable.

Is that why you were trying to be a member? i didn't even realize...that makes it even funnier. so he was banned for breaking the rules and went all nuts. if the site is so useless why are his panties in a bunch?
  4. I never responded back. Everytime I try I start laughing. I don't even know what to say. I don't even recall him being a member much less banned. Ill have to check his status or something or check with one of the mods.
  5. i'm not sure...i have not had any interaction with him.
  6. so I am not sure why, but this vendor sent me this email. It sort of makes you wonder about his temper. 7. Most TA can try to price match or even beat the price. Also there is more flexibility like payment plans, etc. And if your guests have questions need special assistance do you think they will get that on the internet sites Try one of BDW TA's as rhey have a lot of destination wedding experience.
  8. Have you tried contscting TA lindsay. She is our canadian TA and also a destination wedding bride so she has a ton of experience.

  10. the tres leches is very good but the cakes are simple. i had no problem with my cake but we were soo stuffed that we couldn't eat it (we had a cocktail hour with hot and cold hor d'oevres and a 3 course meal BEFORE the cake). if you want something very elaborate or special flavors it might not be a bad idea to use an outside vendor.
  11. dj mannia are also members of the forum so they do have a reputation to keep with BDW brides...they are also very prompt and professional.
  12. hi everyone, i am back and it was a great trip. the weather was FABULOUS!! on saturday i met with mariana, yarai, yessica, and yolanda and we talked for 2 hours. the dreams cabo wedding and sales department were great about getting suggestions from me about what sort of upgrades/perks brides might like. they are going to implement something soon and send it over as soon as they finalize the details. also, they will join the forum and start a "ask the dreams EC team" thread to help answer everyone's questions sooner. I asked the question a few times now to Yesica but she hasn't gotten back to me with an answer yet. i missed this question but let me ask... Apparently this new policy just began, but I have been booked since May 2008. they are going to implement an outside vendor policy. it is because dreams wants to maintain a certain level of excellence regarding their weddings. it is really hard to do that if they have to work with vendors that they have never worked with or do not have the best reputation. what they are going to do is have a "preferred vendor list". to have your vendor get on that list, they need to contact the dreams wedding dept. and fill out the necessary forms, qualify etc. they will also be told the procedures at the resort, etc. those vendors that do not want to be on the "preferred vendor list" will have to pay a fee. this is because it does take extra effort and man-power to work with a vendor that is not familiar with the resort. 13. portofino is dressier...no open toed shoes or sandals for men...pants, collered shirts for men. no flip flops, etc.
  14. Colleen. You may also want to check the vendor siggy rule regardibg linking your website
  15. Hey Ladies, I am headed down to dreams los cabos tomorrow for my annual site visit and meeting with the wedding dept. on sat. morning. if you have any questions or concerns you would like me to bring up, post here and i will try to cover as much of your questions/concerns as possible.
  16. meesh, i deleted part of your thread. 1. you DO NOT want to post your email so publicly. people actually search the internet looking for email addresses to send spam to. 2. most templates, etc. are already posted in the DIY forum if the owner of the template wanted to share it. it is NOT proper BDW forum etiquette to ask people to send all their planning information just because you do not want to look for it on the forum. we get alot of complaints about this (some people would get 20-30 requests a day from people) and not only do we discourage new members for asking for doing this but we have implemented a rule that if you ask, you can lose ALL forum priviledges.
  17. great review!!! i think AI's are really the way to go for group events...everyone has sooo much fun. my family did not do AI's before as they like to eat at nice restaurants etc. but they thought AI was so convenient and fun that we are now on our 3rd annual trip together back to the same resort....
