Ill try on a weekly basis to list who has the nost referrals

Sometimes the suppliers change their procedures on what they need. If you have already paid in full do you already have your travel docs. Could be that your TA overlooked the docs they needed and now trying to get it. Call ur TA and see if these are mandatory.

I sometimes have clients send over a copy of their DL if I do not know them well. There have been a lot of scams of people booking travel with bogus cc so I use it as a security measure. I guess you can talk to your TA and see if there is an alternative if you don't want to do it but then they do not have to book the trip for you.

Buttercream Icing Our Buttercream Icing recipe is perfect for spreading or decorating. Follow our instructions to make it the ideal consistency you need. Source: 2003 Yearbook Ingredients: 1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine softened 1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract 4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approximately 1 lb.) 2 tablespoons milk Makes: About 3 cups of icing. instructions (Medium Consistency) In large bowl, cream shortening and butter with electric mixer. Add vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Rewhip before using. For thin (spreading) consistency icing, add 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk. For Pure White Icing (stiff consistency), omit butter; substitute an additional 1/2 cup shortening for butter and add 1/2 teaspoon No-Color Butter Flavor. Add up to 4 tablespoons light corn syrup, water or milk to thin for icing cakes. NOTE: Changes in Wilton's traditional recipes have been made due to Trans Fat Free Shortening replacing Hydrogenated Shortening.

or these... Quote: Key Lime Coconut Cupcakes with White Chocolate Frosting Ingredients 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature 1 cup granulated sugar 2 eggs, at room temperature 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 heaping teaspoon grated key lime zest 1 1/2 tablespoons key lime juice (bottled or freshly squeezed) 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 1/3 cups loosely packed sweetened coconut flakes (3.5 ounces) For the Frosting: 5 ounces good quality white chocolate, chopped into small chucks 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted Pinch salt 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 1 tablespoon key lime juice (bottled or freshly squeezed) 1/4 cup sour cream Finely grated key lime zest, for garnish Directions Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. With the mixer on low speed, add the eggs, 1 at a time, scraping down the bowl after each addition. Add the vanilla extract, key lime zest and juice and mix well. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In 5 parts total, alternately add the dry ingredients and the buttermilk to the batter, beginning and ending with the dry. Mix until just combined. Fold the coconut into the cupcake batter. Line a muffin pan with paper liners and fill each liner almost to the top with batter. A spring loaded 1/4 cup ice cream scoop works great for this and ensures the cupcakes are all the same size. Bake for 25 minutes or until the tops begin to brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Remove cupcakes from oven and allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer cupcakes to a baking rack to cool completely. While the cupcakes are cooling you can make the frosting. In a small heat proof bowl set over a pot of simmering water, carefully and slowly melt the white chocolate. Remove from heat and let cool until just slightly warm. Meanwhile, in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter until light and fluffy. With the mixer on low, gradually add the powdered sugar until well combined. Add the salt, vanilla extract, key lime juice, and sour cream and mix until very smooth. Add the melted white chocolate and mix just until incorporated. Frost the cupcakes and garnish with a bit of grated key lime zest. Enjoy! A viewer, who may not be a professional cook, provided this recipe. The Food Network Kitchens chefs have not tested this recipe and therefore, we cannot make representation as to the results. Rated: 5 stars out of 521 Reviews

let's all post our favorite cupcake recipes...i think i posted some here before (red velvet cupcake) so i will try to find that recipe. also, in a pinch i have used packaged vanilla cake mix, added raspberries to the mix, and put lime frosting...so good. i found this recipe that i want to try because the ingredients are things you will have on hand and they got great reviews...you can probably tweak it to add yummy stuff to it as well.: Quote: Old-Fashioned Cupcakes 1 3/4 cups cake flour (not self-rising) 1 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 3/4 teaspoon salt 2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into cubes 4 large eggs 1 cup whole milk 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Old Fashioned Frosting, recipe follows Directions Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Line cupcake pans with paper liners; set aside. Combine in a bowl both flours, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix on low speed until combined for about 3 minutes. Add in cubed butter, mixing until just coated with flour. Add eggs 1 at a time until combined. Slowly add milk and vanilla to batter until completely mixed scraping down the bowl as you mix. Scoop batter into baking cups filling about 2/3 full. Bake until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean, 17 to 20 minutes. Cool and decorate with Old Fashioned Frosting. Old-Fashioned Frosting: 2 sticks butter, room temperature 8 cups confectioners' sugar 1/2 cup milk 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or other flavoring Cream softened butter and add 4 cups sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat with paddle attachment until smooth gradually add the rest of sugar to reach frosting consistency*. *Cook's Note: Add more sugar to get this consistency.

okie dokey....husband built garden box and we have our compost pile working away... we hope to get the soil all perfect and start planting our seedlings early april. we are so excited. there is an article in our local paper that says that having a home garden can save afamily of 5 over $2000 a year... during the recession they had "recession gardens" that supplied the nation with 40% of the nations fruits and vegetables...it looks like a good time to bring recession gardens back

Morgan, i would send weddingwire this thread to show that others have had an issue with her as well and send them some of the emails she sent you to show her kookiness. -
Westin Resort= BIG Dissappointment
TammyWright replied to Lizette's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
i also wanted to add that this is one of the reasons it is NOT a good idea to negotiate directly with the resort and NOT use a TA. you really have NO leverage or advocates for you when you do not use a TA. i have done weddings where there were issues...issues with the food, service, billing, group block penalties but i have almost ALWAYS been able to get the hotels to resolve the issue to my clients satisfaction (or at least they tell me they are satisfied). -

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that. LOL...But really, since there are vendor rules, I just think that the vendor should be made to agree to all things that could possibly be posted about them here on BDW....whether they are positive or negative. Since vendors benefit so greatly from recommendations here on BDW, it only seems fair that they take the good with the bad. I know it seems like a lot of work & I don't know if that would fly, but I get tired of seeing Tammy & other members get bullied for things like this since BDW is so helpful to all of us. What good is it to have a place like BDW if people can't express their honest feelings and have to be afraid of saying how they really feel? it is actually in the terms of use that they agree to and on the bottom of each page... -

have you gotten your TA involved? they may be able to help. i no longer book weddings there because they are not that cooperative with travel agents. -

the sad thing about this whole ordeal is that it makes people afraid to be honest about vendors and problems that they have had. Juan Carlos had a negative review where a member wrote about his slow response time, etc and he actually came and read the review and wrote a post apologizing for the problems and thanking the bride for bringing the issues up so he can work on them...no whining or complaining about the negative post...for his post, i will always think that Juan Carlos is a stand up vendor. that is how vendors should act. there is always room for improvement. people should not be afraid to post HONEST reviews of their vendors. -
