  1. glad you had a great time!! erika, you will love dreams...it is such a good time. also, you can always ask that the drinks be made stronger...they have no problem with that. karazyk, they do use rev. marco so just ask your WC if he is available for your day.
  2. ooh...i loved their chilaquilles...had them every morning with refried beans, omellette, pastries, and fruit. they have such an awesome breakfast buffet. i totally miss it when i am home.
  3. i wish she was closer...i would have her deliver meals to me!!!
  4. i also ate a huge breakfast and always went to the omelette bar, then had fish tacos by the pool at lunch with some nachos. you can order a fruit platter to your room and blt also....i did that alot. but i did not eat at my ceremony...i was too freaked out...
  5. mich is right...when i first started looking we were going to do a villa wedding as well but it was alot more expensive. villa's usually charge a huge fee for private events...and even bigger fee for weddings.
  6. you may want to read this thread. it actually may help you learn how to navigate this forum better. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t8853 and really, you should just contact sunbride about her fabric. i doubt she reads all 3,000 new posts a day. also, calling one of the moderators rude will get you kicked off of the forum pretty quickly. this thread is now locked.
  7. if you do a search in the box above you will see a bunch of reviews on her and wedding slideshows...i am closing this thread.

  9. i had people rsvping up to 4 days before the WEDDING!! not even departure date...we had one guest get in his car and drive down to cabo.
  10. hey everyone, you are going to have to contact them for the details...or maybe carlos will post them in this thread. their username is DJMannia
  11. Hey Everyone, I was just informed that DJMannia is having a promotion starting in April for the Best destination wedding forum members. All BDW Members that book them will get 30% off just for the Cancun and Riviera Maya weddings. UPDATE 2/04/2010: this promotion has ended but they have extended it for brides that book them for their wedding now until the end of february.
  12. hey everyone, i just found out the DJ Mannia will be opening in Punta Cana in July. I don't have all the details so hopefully Carlos will elaborate more.
  13. hi jaime, i am counting all referrals from the start of the contest...or if they never finalized their registration?

  15. it isn't that new...it has been there for years now. its not my fave or very authentic. there were a few things that were good (like the tempura was good and some of the apps) but the pad thai was just noodles and soy sauce.

My FI and I are really interested in the Japanese restaurant for our first night there, but we are thinking it's a popular choice so we are not sure if we will be able to get in. Also, are the restaurant menus availble online to look at or do they do different menus daily like the buffets? you really don't need to make reservations...when i was there we were able to get seated at the japanese restaurant pretty quickly. also, if there is a wait it is like 10 mins while they clear a table and it is so nice out that no one really minds waiting. the menus change daily at the buffet...they have themes...at the resta. like portofino, oceana they are usually the same.
  17. it is usually for the same resort...i would be surprised if they allowed it to be spread amongst the different resorts.
  18. beachbride's post was flagged and removed as well as all the posts with email addresses and please ladies for your privacy and security, it is NOT a good idea to post your email on the forum...people actually search for email addresses (exes, spammers, hackers) to do not so nice things to. imagine if your ex googled your email address and found out all of your wedding plans... also, do you wonder why beachbride did not just post her review and instead was collecting email addresses?
  19. what about contacting erinb, jessicam, or anac? they are members and do monograms as well...and are great...
  20. i usually do work with the wedding coordinators at the resorts and usually can get alot faster of a response. also when problems occur, i act as an advocate for my clients to get a resolution to their satisfaction. I am not sure you will get that from booking online. usually my clients give my contact info to their guests and they contact me with questions about: passports, travel documents that they may need for a minor, activities in the area, special requests that they may have, payment plans...these are services you will not get booking online so why would you if the rate is the same or lower with a TA.
  21. we were also looking when i was pregnant and it was so stressful...we didnt find anything in time so we stayed in our loft for a few months and started looking again and finally found something when my baby was like 8 months....then we started remodelling and i found out i was pregnant AGAIN...talk about stressful...we are finally in the house, everything is working but i am holding off on decorating, painting, finishes because i am too darn tired and cranky with a toddler and being pregnant.
  22. well, i know that all the WC at dreams are slammed right now...they usually email me right away but now are taking a few days... is there anything we can help you with?...also, they are pretty relaxed about the deposit so if they are not on your case about getting in from you, i am sure everything is fine with your date.

Would we still be able to snorkel and swim in the pool? How warm is it in October? June? Thank you so much for your help!! it is cabo's winter so the weather is chillier. if you really want to escape during the winter but go to cabo when it is warm, what about late february?
  24. its really a good thing you had your mother looking over the contract for you...that is one of the reasons using a TA is for your benefit. we know what is standard for contracts and what is outrageous.
  25. oh, i love good fudge...i once saw this super easy recipe that included marshmallow fluff from the jar...i really wanted to try it. maybe i will make this next week...can't this week...had a bday party last night for a friend and i still have a 1/2 of a coldstone icecream cake, and truffles...so that should last me a few days.
