  3. ana, you were an amazing bride and i am so glad you used some of the BDW vendors...juan is really great as a photographer and friend and i can't wait to see the pics. also, yessica is very sweet as well and for all you gals that have her, just be patient...she is busy but she tries really ahrd to make every bride's wedding day perfect.
  4. apple is one of a few suppliers out there...i rarely use them because 90% of the time i can find the same package for less with another supplier. there are a bunch of good suppliers out there and a good TA will know who usually has the best rates. also, one thing that can be a little deceiving about apple prices is they used to advertise the rates before taxes so they looked like they were $100 less than other places but once you went to the end to pay, they added a few hundred in taxes and the rate was higher.
  5. there have been some other issues with majestic...i posted them on the forum.
  6. rain is rare in cabo...when it does rain it is pretty quick and makes for amazing and dramatic pics...

  11. different resorts have different policies so you will need to contact their wc to see what it is...
  12. looks like a great time...ana looked fabulous...how did it feel to be back. edyta, this is the 2nd bdw member that you went to their wedding at dreams
  13. hi dmitir, no, there is not minimum post rule any longer.
  14. it actually depends on what vendors....they have a new policy on outside vendors and if they are on their aproved list there is no fee. a vendor can get approved by the resort they just need to contact the WC to fill out paperwork, read rules/procedures and other qualifications. all your outside vendors may be ok with the resort you just need to run them by the WC.

  18. also, alot of photogs do not want you to fake tan or even real tan right before the wedding...people end up looking all orange or worse red in their weddings pics and really over do it with the tanning...i bet just hanging out in cancun will give you more sun that you want..in fact, take it from me, avoid the sun for a day or 2 before your wedding...my nose got sunburned and it is in my wedding pics...so annoying.
  19. baymomma, it is actually frowned upon to pm members for their templates. it can get you removed from the forum. we get complaints from members that newbies inundate them with pm's and emails for templates. it is a waste of their time to respond especially when the templates are ON THE FORUM. you may want to read the rules of the forum as well as the proper etiquette posts before making any more posts and pm's to members...you can find them in a link in my sig or any other moderators.
  20. seriously this is a great contest...for all you brides w/out a photog...ENTER!!!
  21. i have had a few private casino nights. they set up the tables near your dinner tables and have extra staff as dealers....they had poker, blackjack, and i think roulette but am not sure about the roulette...if you give enough notice they can even get prizes. we had a blast at all our casino nights and now do it every time we are there. i don't know what the latest price is. no, i dont think you need a dance floor at oceana unless you are breakdancer or something or super fly salsa dancers. my sister and her friends did the pub crawl...it is fun. you meet in lobby or new dance club and they take you downtown. i ahve also been to dreams in september and it is HOT! like 113 degrees hot.

  23. so now that Alyssa has me obsessing over Matzo Ball soup, and has promised to share the recipe with me i thought i'd start a thread on passover recipes. here is one of my favorite. i make this for my jewish friends and they always ask for the recipe. Quote: Brisket with Portobello Mushrooms and Dried Cranberries Ingredients: 1 cup dry red wine 1 cup canned beef or chicken broth 1/2 cup frozen cranberry juice cocktail concentrate, thawed 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1 large onion, sliced 4 garlic cloves, chopped 1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary 1 4-pound trimmed flat-cut brisket 12 ounces medium portobello mushrooms, dark gills scraped away, caps thinly sliced 1 cup dried cranberries (about 4 ounces) Preparation Preheat oven to 300°F. Whisk wine, broth, cranberry concentrate and flour to blend in medium bowl; pour into 15 x 10 x 2-inch roasting pan. Mix in onion, garlic and rosemary. Sprinkle brisket on all sides with salt and pepper. Place brisket, fat side up, in roasting pan. Spoon some of wine mixture over. Cover pan tightly with heavy-duty foil. Bake brisket until very tender, basting with pan juices every hour, about 3 1/2 hours. Transfer brisket to plate; cool 1 hour at room temperature. Thinly slice brisket across grain. Arrange slices in pan with sauce, overlapping slices slightly. (Brisket can be prepared 2 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) Preheat oven to 350°F. Place mushrooms and cranberries in sauce around brisket. Cover pan with foil. Bake until mushrooms are tender and brisket is heated through, about 30 minutes (40 minutes if brisket has been refrigerated). Transfer sliced brisket and sauce to platter and serve.
