  4. tiffany, great review..juan and sam are great..the gals at my wedding though sam was so cute. also, regarding room requests, we cannot guarantee beds unless you book a specific room. like if you booked a honeymoon suite you would get a king bed. it doesn't matter when you booked because it really is what is available when you check in. also, i didn't get any of the hor d'oevres at my wedding either because i was taking pics but i did pig out at sarah's wedding a year later and eat all her hor d'oevres... i wouldnt be surprised if people want to do a reunion trip there next year...

On the website they have an email address and phone # for a manager - I think I'll be contacting her tomorrow. i would just put a quick but friendly call in asking if there are any updates but do know that it can be a process getting the changes in writing. the resorts can be a little slow since it isn't a priority since they gave a verbal ok.

I haven't had an issue yet with the resort not crediting that reservations booked at the sale rate as part of the group.
  8. I received this email today: Quote: NOTICE OF PROPOSED SETTLEMENT OF CLASS ACTION In re Expedia Hotel Taxes and Fees Litigation, Case No. 05-2-02060-1 SEA (Superior Court of Washington in and for King County) A STATE COURT ORDERED THIS NOTICE. PLEASE READ. If you booked a hotel stay through Expedia and paid "Tax Recovery Charges" and "Service Fees" during the period from January 10, 2001 through June 11, 2008, a proposed class action Settlement may affect your rights. Consumers of hotel stays through Expedia ("Plaintiffs") filed a lawsuit against Expedia primarily concerning the bundled "Tax Recovery Charges" and "Service Fees" charged by Expedia when consumers book a hotel stay through Expedia's website or telephone operators. The Plaintiffs alleged that, in its assessment of "Tax Recovery Charges" and "Service Fees," Expedia (i) committed deceptive or unfair practices in violation of the Washington Consumer Protection Act ("CPA") from January 10, 2001 to June 11, 2008 and (ii) breached its contractual obligations from February 18, 2003 through December 11, 2006. There is a proposed Settlement on behalf of a nationwide class of consumers who booked hotel stays through Expedia from January 10, 2001 through June 11, 2008 and paid a "Tax Recovery Charge" and a "Service Fee." If approved, the Settlement will provide for the distribution to Class Members of $123.4 million in cash payments and Expedia Settlement Credit that can be used for hotel reservations and "package" reservations that include hotel reservations. If you are a member of the Class as described above, your legal rights are affected, and you have a choice to make right now: YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS & OPTIONS MAKE A CASH ELECTION Participate in the Settlement. Receive a cash payment. Go to the Settlement Website at Expedia Litigation Settlement Website and complete a simple electronic form. RECEIVE EXPEDIA SETTLEMENT CREDIT Participate in the Settlement. Automatically receive Expedia Settlement Credit of approximately 2.17 times the amount you would receive in cash. Even if you choose to receive Expedia Settlement Credit, you are urged to go the Settlement Website at Expedia Litigation Settlement Website and answer a few simple questions to ensure that you receive all the Expedia Settlement Credit to which you are entitled. OBJECT TO THE SETTLEMENT Object to the Settlement or any of its terms, and urge that the Court not approve the Settlement. Appear at a Final Approval hearing on December 1, 2009. To object to the Settlement, to Plaintiffs' Counsel's request for attorneys' fees and expenses of up to $10 million, or to incentive awards for the Named Plaintiffs (Michelle Huggins and Jose Alba), you must provide written objections to the Court, Plaintiffs' Counsel, and Defense Counsel by November 11, 2009, consistent with the instructions in the Long Form Notice available at the Settlement Website, Expedia Litigation Settlement Website. ASK TO BE EXCLUDED Get out of this lawsuit. Get no benefits from the Settlement. Keep rights. If you ask to be excluded or "opt out," you will not share in the Settlement Benefits and you will not be permitted to object to the terms of the proposed Settlement. But, you will keep any rights you may have to sue Expedia separately for the same legal claims asserted in this lawsuit. To be excluded, you must return a completed "Opt-Out Form" with a postmark of no later than November 11, 2009. You can obtain an Opt-Out Form at the Settlement website, Expedia Litigation Settlement Website. This is a Summary Notice. For further information about the proposed Settlement and this case, visit Expedia Litigation Settlement Website or call toll-free 1-866-291-7340. 12. of course you mention the privacy issue but i responded to you last night that I did not intentionally or maliciously post your names, i just copied the exact correspondence that I sent you from the supplier/airlines showing that you were in the system paid back in january and if you wanted me to remove your names, i had no problem doing that but of course I never heard back from you until your post today, so I assume you just want to correspond via the forum. and you failed to mention that I kept on telling you that I was working with the supplier to get a letter of apology and explanation about what happened to you and sent it to you with a REFUND of your cc for $300 which is approx. 25% of the resort portion of your trip for issues that did not cause any disruption of your wedding or travel plans such as having to revise docs for having the first name, where the last name was, etc.: Quote: Tammy Wright Wright Travel Agency Dear Tammy, First of all I would like to apologize for the delay of writing this letter stating that all the issues that Mr. Teddy and party encountered with their packages to Dreams Cancun had nothing to do with your professionalism and knowledge of the travel business. You have been diligent with their vacation arrangements. The mistakes with the names were made by me and I extremely embarrassed that the documents were not sent right away after the final payment. As far as the Mexicana Airlines mishandling the airline reservation at the airport, I assure you that it was not your fault nor GOGO Worldwide Vacations fault. Mexicana had a major schedule change and we had everything approved by them to honor their travel dates. I do not understand why Mexicana Airlines could not see in their computer system that the airplane tickets were paid. I sent you already copies of all the documentations on that. As a gesture of good will I am crediting Mr. Teddy's Visa with $300.00 today. Should you have any questions, please contact me and I would be happy to help in anyway I can. We hope that you will allow us the opportunity to continue servicing your clients’ vacation packages in the very near future. Sincerely, M C Team Leader
  13. Peggy Your complaints above were from before you made any commitment to use me. If you were unhappy then you could have either mentioned it to me or not booked the trip. What do you think I would do with your cc number? Commit a crime because you didn't want to book your trip? Why would you book other trips after that? Also yes I called teddy "peter". We were corresponding about a reservation teddy made for peter and it was a name slip. I guess if this is something that is a huge deal to you, you must live in a bubble world where everything is perfect. It sounds like because you had a bad experience at the airport you are looking for someone to blame and pulling up the most miniscule errors in our dozens if not hundreds of correspondences. In our correspondence you never mention you were unhappy in fact the opposite you were always thankful for my help and state it multiple times. You state no one got a hold of you the day the airport incidence happenend but I called and emailed within an hour of getting your email. We did correspond that day and we were in contact with the airline immediately after hearing from you. Sent from blackberry

  17. I'd like to respond that i have emails that show I always responded usually within hours getting the emails and our correspondence was via email, rarely phone calls. i have all the email correspondence that show with timestamps how quickly i have responded to you. when you say you had not heard from me for a week, i did not know you were looking to hear from me...its not like you sent an email or voicemail asking for anything. if i had know that you wanted me to email or call you, i would have. also, during this time (july 7-12) i was in the HOSPITAL having a baby but i was still responding to clients by phone and email. i had other clients that got married the same time frame as you in tulum and i was never MIA (see suzanne's review from july at dreams tulum...approx. same dates but why would i be in communication with her but not you). our last correspondence was July 1, when you emailed me because you were nervouse about going through customs. I responded with some tips to make that process smoother, you responded thanking me "for the info and advice". The next time i heard from you was July 14 that you had not received your travel docs that the supplier was supposed to have mailed to you directly. there was a 2 week time we did not communicate but not because i did not respond to an email or voicemail, but because i did not know you needed anything. Within hours i responded back to you that I called the supplier and asked them to print out new travel docs for you and mail them to you directly again. you responded back: Quote: Thank you for the work, Tammy Greatly appreciated! Peggy Quote: She told us that she can negotiate to get a credit towards our wedding stay if we choose not to do site visit. However, when I actually booked with her, she said this would be only true if I am getting marry in Dream Los Cabos. DUH!!! this was when you were looking to have your wedding at dreams cabo because dreams cancun does not give free site visits. if you change your venue, the terms change depending on what the resort offers. in addition: Quote: On the day of our travel, we got into issue again! The flight was originally booked with Mexicana, and operated by AA. We tried to check-in at AA, and they couldn't find our ticket information to provide that we paid. We couldn't reach anybody, not Tammy, not her wholesaler, and I almost cried out with my gown next to me. After I mentioned about the other guests will be traveling 2 days later, they pulled up the info and none of my guests shown any problem. Someone who looked like a supervisor signed a "Flight Interruption Manifes" for us, and let us check-in making believe we paid. this was an error on the airlines part. NOT mine. you were booked and your flight was paid for. do you honestly think that an airline would let you board a flight without payment made? They realized that you were paid for when you were at the front desk and that is why they let you board the flight. do you think it is strange that if they really showed that you had not paid they would not have asked for payment? when i contacted the airline they showed that you were paid for and did not have an explanation why their agent told you that you were not paid for. i even emailed the response from the airline saying that you showed being paid in full and they would note that to make sure you would have no issue on the return. I also emailed and tried to call you multiple times to see exactly what the issue what to not get a response from you. how am i supposed to help you if you do not communicate what is going on. AGAIN, this was the airline's issue. i was on the phone with them as soon as I heard from you (not by phone because you did not leave a message but by email) that you were having porblems. here is the last email i sent you with NO response from you. obviously you just want to place blame on me when i am the last person you should place blame on. Quote: date Aug 1, 2009 1:22 PM subject Re: Fwd: Peter Chan & Shing Ip : flight numbers for voucher redemption mailed-by gmail.com Hi Peggy, I hope everything is going smoothly with your wedding weekend. Well it looks like we are getting to the bottom of what happened to your flight. It looks like it was NOT an error on GoGo's part as I first suspected but an error with American Airline's check-in desk. I think they actually caught the error while you were still at the check-in desk but did not want to admit to it because there is no way they would have let you board the flight if your tickets were showing that they were not paid for. They would have made you pay for a new flight, investigated the matter, and refunded your credit card if they found out your ticket was paid for twice. When GoGo contacted the airline they were told that your tickets were paid in full and sent this confirmation to them that it was paid back in january: 16-JAN-2009 YE/PEGGY Airline Tickets 7397502401 *2562 $0.00 RECEIVED 16-JAN-2009 YE/PEGGY Airline Tickets 7397502401 *2562 $674.69 RECEIVED 16-JAN-2009 CHEUNG/TED Airline Tickets 7397502402 *2562 $0.00 RECEIVED 16-JAN-2009 CHEUNG/TED Airline Tickets 7397502402 *2562 $674.69 RECEIVED Johan at Mexicana Airlines told us that everything was complete and paid for regarding your flight and Teddy's and re-verified that your return on the 4th is fine. Also, he said he would make sure your party of 6 travelling yesterday would be taken care of and made notes in their reservation that they have paid. Again, this was an error made by the check-in person at American Airlines and I am very sorry for the stress it must have caused you. Please let me know if there are any more bumps during your travels. Hope all is well and congrats!!!! so in summary peggy, i am really trying not to belittle your complaints but REALLY...you contacted me about getting married at dreams cabo and i told you the perks of doing a group block there, etc. (one of which is the free site visit)...then you change your venue to dreams cancun and DO NOT do a group block so for you to think you still were entitled to a site visit is strange. i have ALL of our correspondence showing that i usually responded within hours of hearing from you. mexicana and american airlines code shared a flight (out of my control) and there was a mix up with them. not me. do you honestly think that i did not send your payment in (i am sure you cc statement shows that the airline charged for your airfare ticket) or that the airline would let you board without any payment. come on.
  18. i just made this thread that might be helpful to future dreams brides... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t47713
