Stacy I know I am late to this but when I get a big harvest I clean, peel and core them and throw in a ziplock bag. When it is time to make sauce, defrost will get rid of some water.

booking air is one of the services that TA's provide for their guests when they also book land/cruise as TA's do not get paid a commission on air. As part of their proposal, they gave me room rates at which they would hold rooms in blocks. It was my understanding that they require that the rooms be booked through them...maybe I assumed wrong? I will have to check. Thanks again. you may want to contact one of the TA's on here because usually resorts will honor the same rate/contract terms if booked through a TA....maybe try Maureen (above)

Are you getting your stay for free or getting any other perks?
TammyWright replied to yesther's topic in Honeymoon Forum
To add what maureen and jennifer have said, these rooms/packages have to be booked with the same TA or contract rate and so even though you have x-amount of rooms booked if they are booked via internet companies they may not apply to the room count. By negotiating with the resort directly you are losing a lot of leverage that a TA has since we use wholesalers that book a lot more volume than an individual wedding so we have a lot more leverage. I can usually negotiate better rates and perks than you could directly. -
Getting to Cabo in the summer
TammyWright replied to gettingmarried's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
she may mean charter flight/packages because there are flights out of YYC to sjd almost everyday....but they are not charter... like united and usairways has decent flights in the $603 per person range depending on travel dates. -

I really shouldn't validate this post with a response, but I know that there are people out there who will read one bad comment, relate to it, and ignore an entire post (which would give them the whole story and a more objective view of things) to jump into a post-war. yes you did. you said it in your first post here: Quote: Originally Posted by hara_3d My fiance has forbidden the following locations: Mexico (because it is too dangerous, and not classy enough), Brazil--where he is from--is not 'good' enough, nor is Jamaica or Cuba or Dominican. Problem?!? I would love a cliff side and all inclusive, which is hard enough to find on it's own, but he's ruling out a lot of all-inclusive locations and won't budge because of his strong opinions on having a destination wedding there. This is hard, because we both want class, but also want to save the cash. Money is especially an issue for us because a lot of people we know suffered from the economy and I have two couples who are dear to me that don't have much cash to spend, and I wouldn't want to make this event too costly for them. But at the same time, we have standards that we don't want to compromise on the biggest day of our lives (so far). Any advice? Hawaii doesn't have all-inclusive resorts. Some resorts have some meal type plans but not all-inclusive. The other places you mentioned are great but going to be expensive so if you are ok with alot of your guests NOT going because they cannot afford to go, then go for it. For our wedding, we chose cabo because we wanted to trip to be beautiful but also affordable AND convenient for our guests. Cabo is less than a 3 hr flight for us. It would be very selfish of us to choose a location that was out of their price range then complain if they could not go. We also knew that we could travel to more exotic, luxurious places on our own like for our honeymoon or anniversaries so there was no need to put that financial strain on our guests. If you are thinking about using a TA DO IT!!!

We have changed the rules about downloading attachments. You no longer need points to download attachments but instead you need to be have reached "jr. member" or higher status on the forum. Paying the membership fee does not make you immune from getting banned. If you break forum rules, you will get banned the $30 fee is non-refundable. The attachments are a way to reward members that contribute more to the forum. Downloads are a huge resource hog and very taxing on the server so we do not want people to just download templates whenever they want. It causes the forum to run very slowly and is very resource intensive. If you do NOT have enough posts to download a template, it means you are not active enough. This does not mean you should just post BS posts to get your post count up. If you do so, your posts will be deleted and your account disabled. Please do not ask for members to send you templates or downloads either on the forum or by PM. It is very time consuming for the member to send their downloads to everyone by email. That is why they are uploaded to the forum. If it is reported that you have posted or pm'd a member for a template or download you will lose forum privileges temporarily. We had to change the way downloads were distributed because of complaints that people did not understand the point system etc. Another example of how a few bad apples will ruin it for everyone else. This new rule goes into affect immediately. Here are some of the forum rules: BDW FAQs Being a member of this forum is a priviledge and not a right. You may lose some forum priviledges or be banned from the forum for the following reasons (not all may be listed here): Violation of privacy: Do Not post personal details about a user that contains their physical location or contact information without their permission. Such details include real name, address details, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. Copying their pictures and posting them elsewhere could also be a copyright infringement. Spamming: Accounts which are obviously created to spam the boards will be banned instantly and the offending posts will be deleted. Accounts that were not created to spam the board but do spam will be banned at the administration and moderators discretion. Disruption: Posting for the purpose of creating disruption on these boards will not be tolerated (e.g., "baiting" or "trolling"). This includes deliberately violating board guidelines and courtesies or otherwise posting in a manner that is deemed by BDW management to be disruptive or harassing. Please note that creating a new member name for the purpose of disruption places your primary BDW account in jeopardy, as well. Solicitations NOT Allowed: Solicitations by vendors AND brides are not allowed. It is so innapropriate to pm/email a member about your services or a vendor that you are using unsolicited. There is no warning on this matter. if you solicit, you may get banned. These are just a few reasons but forum moderators can ban at their discretion. Also, for forum etiquette, this video is funny but a good guideline for what good forum etiquette is: Posting and You! It is also important for Members to know other rules and PSA's to avoid getting banned. A good place to start reading is: Why Members get BANNED! Also, be sure to read the stickied threads in this forum (especially the PSA about Points, Sharing Photographer): Forum News & Updates FAQs and how to navigate the FORUM Looking to Share a Photographer?
