  1. If you are flying, you can usually make arrangements with your airline in advance. First-class cabins have large "coat closets" that can be used for bridal gown storage. If they do not allow you to make these arrangements in advance, let the check-in attendant know you are carrying on your wedding dress and they can make special arrangements for you (like put your dress in the flight stewards closet). If your plane does not have a first-class area (on airlines such as Southwest), it is highly recommended that you package the dress in a large box and ship it to your destination in advance, carefully packed in tissue to hold its shape. Regardless of the method you choose, look into having your gown pressed at a local cleaner upon your arrival. Your hotel's concierge and/or wedding coordinator can help with this.

    About BDW

So you want a destination wedding? Have you dreamed of getting married on the beach in an exotic location like Mexico, Hawaii, Fiji or the Caribbean? Do you want to plan a wedding so unique and creative that your guests will talk about it years later? Your relationship with your fiancé is a unique one so why have a "traditional" wedding like everyone else when you can get married next to the ocean. Having a destination wedding is an amazing way to start your life together as a couple. Your destination wedding will not just be a one day celebration with your family and friends but instead vacation filled with memories. If planned well, you can create a vacation that is both affordable for your guests and unforgettable - but if not planned well, can be disastrous. We've all heard the horror stories of hotels claiming to be "paradise" but not disclosing they were next to a sewer plant....or putting a hefty deposit down with a wedding coordinator in Mexico, to have them suddenly not return your calls. Working with reputable vendors and resorts will help you deter these potential problems. If you are not good at this sort of thing, or don't have the time to invest in research and planning, we recommend hiring a wedding planner. Because destination weddings mean traveling far away from home, you and your guests will need plenty of time for planning. We also recommend that you spend more time researching than you would with a traditional wedding. You must deal with the local way of doing business as well as the legal requirements for marriage in the country that you plan to wed. Once you have decided that you want to get away to "tie the knot" destination style, where do you start? Well, you are in the right place.... Welcome to the Best Destination Wedding Website!

Thanks, Arlene (mother of the bride) well it looks like you are able to post this fine. also, you may want to consider posting in the CORRECT thread. this isn't the place to post about not being able to post (especially when it looks like you can). if you have a problem, try pming me with SPECIFICS of what happens when you try to post.
  6. Hi Amanda, we are actually re-launching the forum on tuesday so it will have sections for specific reviews areas for cancun, hawaii, etc. you can view the thread here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...se-read-61849/ in the meantime, you can go to the review section and there is a button that says "search this forum" where you can punch in "hawaii" and that might help.
