thanks for this...i think alot of people get upset because there are rules in place but they would not realize how insane and unorganized the forum would be without rules. We DO NOT like to babysit people but know that is what needs to be done for the good of the forum.

andi, you are right. BDW is better without *holly*. i finally figured out who she was and let's just say some long time members we DO NOT miss when they are gone. this thread was moved but i thought it would be best to move it back. sort of just do a little house cleaning on the forum. if you have an issue how the forum is run, you can leave....or post in this thread....and we can ban your account. it is your call. *Holly* is absolutely ridiculous. the drama went down WEEKS ago. members that violated forum rules were banned. some were temporarily banned, others permanently banned. let it go or are you and your "friends" just having a hard time leaving BDW? we already have had a few of your "friends" ask for their bans to be removed...if this place is so lame, why would they want to participate? I know if I was banned from a website I would not even take the time to go back much less start drama. You must not have better things to do with your time.

ok, I book ALOT of weddings with palace resorts and have never had any issue with getting the credit for the free rooms. Normally this is credited back BEFORE they even arrive at the resort. I have even had an issue where the bride did NOT deserve the credit as some of her guests backed out at the last minute and she did not have the minimum nights to get the free room and they were still very gracious with her so I am very surprised to hear all the issues.

i am actually really disappointed to see what has transpired in a few short hours. I came on excited to share that we would have a new chat feature of the forum to make it easier to keep up with people that are online the same time as you. Instead i find that total chaos has broken out in the shoutbox thread. I will not condone ANY attitude or snarkiness towards one of my mods....if you do so you will get banned. I don't care that YOU think that the shoutbox thread belongs to you and she shouldn't have been posting or whatever. It doesn't belong to you and if a mod wants to put her 2 cents in i expect her to be welcome and treated with respect. Jamy is one of the most chill mods we have had on BDW. It takes ALOT to rile her up but disrespecting her is going to do it.....and I will back her. We have had issues in the past with people claiming that the shoutbox was cliquey and past participants of the shoutbox no longer participating because they felt that there was alot of passive-aggressive behavior, dog-pack tendencies and I really saw it in the last shoutbox thread. That is why the shoutbox thread has been shut down for now and members banned. If you cannot follow the rules of the forum and be respectful towards me and the mods, and other members then LEAVE.

instead of complaining, maybe you should read the rules. that might explain WHY we have certain rules in place like the attachment rule. we have tried a points system where people were given 5 downloads off the bat just for signing onto the forum, then for every so many posts, could download more but people abused and complained about that rule. we do not condone BS posts. if people just want to bypass posting and participating, they can always pay a small fee to do so. In the past, when we did not have an attachment rule, people were just downloading them willy-nilly causing the forum to run slowly and crash...then we had thousands of people complaining because the forum was running slowly. if people really just took the time to read the rules, follow them, particpate in a positive manner they would see that they reached 150 posts in no time and the forum runs much smoother.

i am sure most the photogs will do a TTD session without it being part of a wedding package. Why don't you just ask the photog who you like to see if they will just do a TTD session.

yeah, i think the old wedding coordinator that told me about the rule is no longer there. glad to hear there is a more flexible outside vendor policy as it gives the bride more options.

well in all honestly, the last time i "spoke" to someone at cabo azul they had a really strict photography/off site vendor policy so they did not allow ALOT of good vendors onsite. not sure if it changed or not...

this would be really great it you had a really fun group that wanted to ham it up for the camera/

what photographer are you using? i am sure they have someone they can recommend. i used sam perches.

i've helped with hundreds of weddings in cabo and have never heard of him.

ok, i know this is a little off topic but when my mom went on vacation to Europe, they did alot of tours and walked a ton. One of her friends had these shoes from GravityDefyer and loved them. Turns out a few other people on the tour had them as well. Does anyone know anyone that has these shoes? My mom wants me to order them and found an ad through the AAA magazine that she gets. she has hip problems and has trouble walking long distances. I found a link for free shipping here when i tried to research reviews, i mainly found stuff on skymall and i have never bought anything off skymall.
