Reception Options for RIU Bahamas

Hey all!! My travel agent sent me this to look at while she is still sorting through some group rates for our party! Thought it might be helpful for future RIU PALACE PARADISE ISLAND couples for 2010!

No problem Amanda! We are planning to get married there too in November 2010! We are just waiting for our TA to get back to us to see what the best rates are in November. What kind of group rates did you guys get per person? We will be flying from Winnipeg to Toronto then Toronto to Bahamas (AI packages are much cheaper from Toronto)!!

I also am planning to get married at the Riu bahamas May 2011. Are you girls getting the wedding package there? It seems to include everything but am wondering what about a photographer?

OMG Radiant_princess. I am so sorry that i did not respond till now. I didnt see your posting till now.

Our rate from T.O is $1613.25 per person from nov 21-28th, and for those of our guests who cannot come for a whole week they get $1183.25 per person double occupancy. it is like an extra $400 to come as a single for both prices.

 

I also got children quoted at $1213.25 for the 7 days.

We are getting the Royal package from the resort and using Tim Allen as our photographer. His prices are amazing, he is from there and his pictures are stunning. His website is: Bahamas Wedding Photographer | Tim Aylen Photography you guys should check him out.

We are using Mario Nixon. Bahamas Wedding Photographer | Mario Nixon Photography, Nassau, Paradise Island, Atlantis, Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Excellent prices and I love his pics. He has packages OR you can hire him for $200/hr and he will give you a CD with all your pics and you own the rights and can print them yourself.

 

I'll be at the Riu one month from TODAY!! We are getting married away from the resort, but I'll send you a review of the hotel. Good luck and I hope Debbie takes care of all of your wedding needs!

All the best ladies! You're plans sound perfect!! We changed our destination to Our Lucaya/Freeport Bahamas. It just fit our budget much better! We will be using Mark Da Cuhna as our Photographer. He is a local in Freeport but travels all over the Bahamas. Really amazing photo journalism style!! Actually, I think he mentioned he just did the new brochure for the RIU..
