Is your ring Cathedral set?

Hi, happy 4th of July!!

 

Just curious how many people have Cathedral set rings. FI and I are considering trading in my E ring, and I found a new one I really like, but it's Cathedral and I'm not sure how I feel about that

tara, that new setting youre considering is almost identical to my ring. i had jose get mine cathedral set on purpose because i wanted a wedding band to fit flush against my ering.

a friend of mine said her cathedral set gets caught on things a lot.

My band is catheral set and I love it. We had it set like that on purpose.

really? mine NEVER gets caught on anything - that is why i had it cathedral set in the first place. it reduces snagging for the shape of stone & band i have.

Hi girls. The jeweler we spoke with said that Cathedral set helps protect the diamond from being snagged on things.

 

But really don't all e rings snag on stuff? Like when you go to put your hand in your pocket you have to adjust for the ring anyway.

Mine is similar to that. I like it because you can see the whole diamond. I also like it because the diamond seems protected. I am a nurse and I wear gloves a lot and I didn't want a ring that stuck up real high and got caught on everything.
