I am planning to have a villa wedding. I like the idea of having a private pool, hot tub and being able to party into the night without getting "kicked out" when it's over. Because of the VERY pricey cost of just renting the space, my WC was trying to stear me towards Fiesta Americana Imperial Suites, but I said no. One of the things that had turned me off was that I thought it didn't have a private pool. Michelle - you mentioned it does have a private pool. That's good to know.

I'm going to Cabo this weekend to meet my WC and do site inspections. She's actually taking me to two villas and two resorts - Fiesta Americana is one of them. (I gave her to "ok" to revisit the idea of having the wedding in a resort - as long as it has a private space.)

Whatever you ladies can tell me about this place would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Jen...PM me with your email address and I can forward you all sorts of info I have on FA. I haven't gone down there, but thanks to KM and Jill and Maria (haven't see her on in a while)...I have been able to see alot of pics, etc...

Maye, my wc said the Imperial suite is an excellent choice and I just love it!!! The downfall for us is the price. I am not completely sure why I am letting it bother me...but really this isn't the first time I have "looked" again at changing locations because of the price. I don't think it's outrageous in price if it fits into your budget...but that's the thing...we had a small budget and we have already doubled it!! So I'm just trying to cut back where I can. I wouldn't just give up privacy though because that too was important to me, but when I saw the cabo surf it also seemed very private so that is why I was leaning toward there now....

Sorry for rambling!

Janet,

Did your whole group rent out the 22 rooms at cabo surf? We won't be staying there if we decided to change the location to that place so I was trying to get an idea of weather or not it still felt private with other hotel guests there? I mean it only has 22 rooms so it can't be too bad.

There was a lot of information on Cabo, and Dreams in particular - and when I saw the pictures of the gazebo at dreams, I fell in love. It is a little bit closer than if we were to go to, say Cancun. I definately chose it because of this fourm and the easily accessable information. The good thing now, is that there is a lot of information on a lot of different resorts on this forum - so there is a lot to choose from! The only thing I didn't like about Dreams was that you can't swim in the ocean there - but I'm over it already! lol
Dreams pool is awesome! you wont even think about the ocean...

I choose the Fiesta Americana as well, but we're only using the Imperial Suite for our Thursday Welcome Cocktail Hour (our group is pretty big, so we needed a larger space, and wanted our music to go on past 10pm, so we're using the ballroom terrace and an adjacent ballroom).

Here's a link to another wedding at the Imperial Suite...it is gorgeous!

Let me know if you have any questions! There are several on here who chose FA!

If you want to see more pictures of the FA, here are my pictures I took in April!

Jill,

I have a question...So since you are using the Imperial suite for your welcome cocktail, do you have to rent the room for the whole night? If so, then you are staying there that night and then checking back into a different room the next night?

Yep, it's really gorgeous! The inside of the villa is really nice, too. I do not have any pictures but there are some on the hotel's main website.

I have a floorplan of the villa in a powerpoint slide. I can't post it, but if anyone is interested in seeing it, just PM me.
