It cost me $190 which included shipping and about 40 days to receive the dress. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER! She was so nice and always responded, maybe not immediately do to time difference but always replied. The dress is PERFECT! I was nervous about doing it but thought for $190 it was worth the risk since the dress normally cost around $900. I ABSOLUTELY love my dress. I say that I recommend her, although my dress doesn't have any beading or lace so i can't recommend her as far as that goes. If you want i can post some photos of my dress and the detail in it so you can see her work. I think a couple of other girls have ordered their dresses from her I don't know if they have them yet or not.
I would love to see pictures of the actual dress she made you rather than the promo pics she puts on her site. I have been intending to use Landy for a while now but I went on my first wedding dress shopping trip on saturday and realised that the dresses that suit me are much more structured than I originally thought I would need. They felt like they had an internal corset pulling me in all the right places and made me look and feel a million dollars. Im just afraid now that the Landy ones just wont measure up..literally LOL
Does your dress give you this kind of feeling, what is it made of, I got swatches but they only come in satin and most of the dresses I like are chiffon, lace or taffetta so the colours will differ anyway. Some advice would be much appreciated, I feel so down and undecisive after my trip. frown.gif

oh Michelle! Definitely don't feel down! I LOVE my dress. I was also afraid it wouldn't have that tighten in every angle of my body and make me look like a million bucks. But it does and I feel AMAZING in it. As long as I can still zip it up it makes me look great other than I need to do some work on my arms!

My dress was a moonlight bridal dress. I really didn't feel like looking through all of her dresses and knew I wanted this dress so i emailed her and asked. I've heard she's told some people they are unable to do their dress, but I think they are dresses w/ ALOt f detail and she knows it won't turn out exact and feels like she'll just let a customer down so she'll flat out tell you if she can or can't make it.

Here is the dress I asked her for:

I LOVE it. It's ivory taffeta. if you notice in the original picture there was a sash that went around the bottom part. I forgot to tell her that I didn't want it so when I got the dress I put it on and friend was taking pics and i cut it off but realized after lookin at the pics I like it better with it!

I ordered a standard size 10 cause she will only let you return if its standard sizing and I was really afraid I might not like it. She told me the measurements for the standard size and I was so excited I just said yep those will work! Well it didn't fit when I first got it. I lost some weight and rechecked her measurements and they were exactly what I was so I jumped into the dress and it zipped right up! I'm really short so I do have to have it altered cause the top body part is just a little to long and I'll have a couple inches taken off the bottom so I suggest getting custom measurements.

It fits sooo good. I'm not even wearing a bra in the pics! Its comfortable and everything! I highly recommend her.

another girl used her and got a more detailed dress and posted pics here:

I hope that helps you out some!

I might give it a try for the actual dress!! I'm still deciding between the 2 but I think i'm going to go with the lacy one (San Patrick- Binefar)

Even for a knock-off it's not cheap. One website says $345, another says $380...

Jacilynda, you're a starsmile03.gif

Thanks so much for the detailed reply, you look so amazing in your beautiful dress, it fits perfect and if thats with no bra you gotta seriously give me some chest exercise tips!!! It has exactly the corset shape that suited me and it helps so much to see a "real" dress next to the original pic (virtually identical might i add)

Im def going to give custom measurements cos im so wierdly shaped! Im only 5ft 3" so I expect to have to get my dress altered anyway...yeah for the vertically challenged.

Im feeling much more relaxed and positive now, think I was just a bit overwhelmed at the time.

Cant wait to see your photos of the day. Your FI will be the cat that got the cream. msnwink.gif

Wow guys!! This is just the thread I was looking for. The dress I love is $2200 and I really don't want to spend that kind of money on that. I'd rather spend the $2000 on my family's travel expenses or something else!! I did find an ebay seller that does replicas and their feedback is great! AND they have the Jim Hjelm dress I'm looking to buy smile29.gif

V-Neck Mermaid Laceowork WEDDING Dress BRIDAL GOWNS NWT - eBay, Wedding Dresses, Wedding Apparel Accessories, Clothing, Shoes Accessories. (end time 30-Jun-09 16:47:22 AEST)

I would rather though get it from someone that you guys have used. Maybe I'll give Landy a shot and see if they can make it. What would I do without you guyshuh.gifsmile03.gifsmile03.gifsmile03.gif

I'm so glad I ran across this thread! I've been eyeing a La Sposa dress but I don't want to pay that much $$ for a 2nd dress. It will just be for my vow renewal at our AHR.

Jacilynda, thank so much for the detailed reviews on this ebay seller and posting about your experience. Your dress looks amazing and fits great!!!! For the price of the knockoff, I figure I can't go too wrong right. About their sizing, how exactly do they run - US standard or wedding gown sizes?
