May 2009 Brides

OMG!!! exactly 3 weeks until im a MRS!! i am FREAKING out... i made my DIY necklace yesterday for the wedding... its pretty awesome.. but other than that... im going INSANE.. i still have one exam to complete and two more essays until the semester is out!!... AND... some good news.. my FI brother was booked with conquest (who went bankrupt) and his money is tangeled up with them for god knows how long.. but his gf's parents are going to lend them the money so that they can still come!! phew..

i just got my hair colour done so that it will be well set by the wedding... but i still have to do nails, eyebrows, and toes... prob 2 days or so before we leave...

Im not finished the OOT bags.. and we dont even have favours yet!!.. what are you ladies doing for favours?? I feel so overwhelmed.. but it serves my procrastinating but! .. OO.. and our photogs still dont have flights yet!!.,.. SHHEEEESH!

3 weeks until i leave, woot!

i have little picture frames that are doubling as our name cards for the dinner as the wedding favors. i'll post pics when i get home since it's all blocked by the internet nazis here at work.

finishing up my OOT bags this weekend and hopefully my guest book too. and i get my dress back next friday. sephora must be tired of me, i've changed my makeup consult 3 times now. lol. it's not my fault i have to schedule around the calgary flames playoff games.

we gave our gifts to our MOH and BM. BM got a kegaque, charcoal bbq shaped like a beer keg. he built it right away and can't wait to go camping to use it. and i got my MOH a tiffanys square necklace which she loved and put on right away and matches her square rings which were also from tiffanys and i had no idea. phew, our gifts were a hit.

crap, it's my MOH's birthday today! i totally spaced ...

last night FI and i made a very fruitful shopping trip and finally got our groomsmen's attire squared away. totally different from what we had planned ... i hope it looks ok ... i think it's probably a bit too casual but beggars can't be choosers. we got cream-colored linen pants and a short sleeved red button-down shirt that i HOPE matches (or at *least* doesn't clash with) the red bridesmaids' dresses. it seems to be the same color but it's not like i had a dress with me, LOL. we just really had to get *something* squared away and it's SO difficult to find anything we liked in ALL the guys' sizes (BM is a 3X).

now i just need to get a new flower girl dress and figure out the ring bearer's outfit, and we finally won't have anyone in the bridal party who is naked anymore! LOL

freaking out trying to get stuff done now ... just created and ordered a photo book from shutterfly that i'm using as my guest book (they can sign in the margins around the pics, kinda like a yearbook). i just used all general pics of the resort and of cancun. i really wanted to do this mostly to see whether i like the quality for when i do my wedding album and gift albums post-wedding.

* made the appts for my wedding hair (and my mom's) and for our couple's massage at the resort spa the day after the wedding (we'll need it!).

* got my birth control so we don't have to have a condom-filled wedding night, LOL.

* figured out seating chart and made escort cards. these will get tied to the mini-maracas i painted.

gotta get on making bouts and corsages, flower girl pomander and ring bearer shell! hopefully will accomplish that stuff this weekend. i don't even want to think about programs, welcome brochures, OOT bags, ipod playlist (no dj so this is important!), bridal party gifts, jewelry, etc. etc. etc!!!! omg 41 days!!! you girls who are in the next couple weeks must be FREAKING OUT!

BM isn't answering his phone and HAS NOT booked his flight yet!!! I keep getting FI to call him but there is only so much we can do! FI said he wishes we just went somewhere on our own to get married because he is starting to stress to! Who ever said a DW was stress free is lying! LOL

i agree there's still stress with a destination wedding. probably less than a traditional one but still there...attacking us. lol
