When are you arriving again? I am leaving the 6th.
Hey darlin...we arrive the day of your wedding...what time is your ceremony? We depart on the 10th...so...drinks...somewhere...sometime...let's make it happen.

I think I had my first wedding related...meltdown...today! Over something sooooo small too.

We have to pick songs for our slideshow for the AHR, as my cousin is putting it all together for us, and she wants to get started right away. I CANNOT find a song that really is..me. FI wants to have "Nature Boy" by Nat King Cole...a sllloooowwww song. I want mine to be more...upbeat. It doesn't even have to be especially happy since I was especially angsty in my teens LOL..I just...can't.

I think we're gonna have "Steady as We Go" by Dave Matthews as the third and final song of the slideshow...I Love the Dave.

Any suggestions...I melted down YouTubing songs earlier! Gah.

Anyways...Can't wait to see you Shannon...

Hi ladies! I have a new question!

About the day passes for guests staying offsite, do they permit people that purchased these passes into the restaurants?

For budget reasons, my little sister is planning to stay at a small hotel on 5th and just walk to the hotel to hang out with us. I would hate for her to spend $50/day just to come to the beach/hotel!

Anyone have any experience with this?

I believe the day passes are $85 per guest per day from morning until 5pm. There is then an additional cost if the guest wants to stay until midnight (I want to say $135 for morning until midnight). Once the guest has paid this fee, they are entitled to all restaurants for food and drink.

If your sister wants to use the beach, that is free. Pelicanos and the Tapas restaurant are on the beach an open to the public and she can pay cash there. But that's as far as she can go....the security is very tight.

I can reach her when I call her. But she is always too busy to give you her full attention. There is always a bride to be in the office talking to her at the same time.

Here is the number I have called

Yah...both songs...really overplayed. I mean, they're good...but neither one is really...us! But, thank you...truly. Any help I can get is good!

Right now, "This is the first day of my life" by Brighteyes is likely going to be our first dance song at the AHR. We both love it. We might go with "Is this Love" by Bob Marley in Mexico...we're a little on the fence about it!

For our slide show...I'm thinking "In my Life" by the Beatles for my portion; Ken is thinking "Old Man" by Neil Young and then for the montage (I just love that word) of the two of us together, we're thinking "Gang of Losers" by the Dears! cheesy.gif

My dad picked out "Daddy's Angel" by T. Carter for our dance together, and I'm going to have "All the Single Ladies" play by Beyonce for the bouquet toss (I'm going to have all the ladies dance with me first and then do the toss!)

It's coming together...I have my starfish now, my sand ceremony set, my Bride Baseball hat! cheesy.gif My OOT bags are almost complete...I'm having Kiehls gift bags done up in addition to the first aid/pashmina/corkscrew/knick knacks I'm already including, for each guest...so those will come in April (I've got some great friends in high places)!

My dress should be in within the next two or three weeks. FI needs to get his suit tailored a bit, but all the GM have their suits fitted already. MOH dress should be here early February.

Invitations for AHR go out on Monday. My Pre-Mexico letter for those guests, and CD with kick ass music, is prepared, just need to print and burn (to send out in March)...

What else...now i'm just rambling off my list for my own peace of mind, but...it sure is nice to remember all that I have done so far!!!

Ahh...what have you "four months or less" girls got left to do?

"Is this love" by Bob Marley is such a beautiful song - I've been thinking of using it for my slideshow too - it's so beachy! The Bright eyes song is perfect for a first dance.. it's so touching.

I too have began been putting together a collection of songs I'd like to use for the wedding (haven't really categorized most of them yet).. here's a list I started in case any of you ladies need ideas. We like a mix of old school 40's/50's music for our reception. Go to SeeqPod Playable Search - Find. Discover. Watch. Listen. Share. to listen to them - you can even search for a bunch of songs you like and save as a playlist to share with others.

A kiss to build a dream on - Louis Armstrong (Likely our first dance song)

Such great heights - Iron & Wine (baby pictures slide show if end up doing one..)

Look after you - The Fray (possible wedding video song)

Love Song - 311

Gimme Love - Collie Buddz (probably using this for our TTD photo slideshow)

The way I Am - Ingrid Michaelson

Love is you - Chrisette Michele

Just like a star - Corinne Bailey Rae

Love me tender - Norah Jones

Don't know why - Norah Jones

The way you look tonight - Frank Sinatra

LOVE - Natalie Cole

Breathe in - Frou Frou

Unforgettable - Natalie Cole (A classic)

Sway - Michael Buble (Reception song)

Moondance - Michael Buble (Reception/Cocktail hour song?)

Hmmm... I wonder if I'm the next to go on our little Royal thread... That's scary to think about! WOW!!!

I'm on the home stretch of planning, thank goodness!

~I just need to buy towels for the OOT bags and then they're done

~Vows written

~Still looking for vases for Sand Ceremony (I want to use some cool vases with a spout- we're doing the frame thing)

~We're negotiating with Mexico Blue Dream for a snorkeling excursion for everyone

~AHR invites completed, go in the mail on Monday (it's the Saturday after we get back from Playa- AAAAHHHHH!)

~Finally got my dress and need to do some minor alterations

Just the little things are left- Shay, if you'd like to come to Dallas, I need your help! You're so organized!!!

My biggest frustration right now is that I STILL have people that haven't booked yet! Some of them I understand (my MOH's FI is in the military and wont know if he can go on leave until next month), but the rest are just annoying!!!
