Dear Family and Friends,

The waiting is finally over!! Welcome to sun, sand and relaxation…Welcome to Royal Carribean Explorer of the Seas. We are both so happy and feel very blessed to be able to have you here at our wedding in Bermuda. We are especially honored that you have traveled this far to be a part of our marriage celebration.

Marriage is not a culmination; it is a beginning; the beginning of a life that will grow and change in ways more wonderful then we can imagine. Many years from now when we look back upon our life, love, and this day, we will remember that it was not the flowers, music, nor food that made our day so special; our memories of sharing the beginning of our lfe as husband and wife with you, our friends and family, will be what we cherish the most. Having you here for our celebration has made our wedding truly wonderful and we thank you for sharing in one of our happiest occasions.

Included is some information to help make your trip a wonderful experience. Enjoy the “goodies†included in this welcome bag. They are just a small token of our appreciation.

Please make the most of your cruise with us on the Explorer of the Seas. We hope the next few days will be as memorable for you as it will be for us.

With Love and Appreciation,

Kathy & Paul

Hope this helps you!!

I think I'm going to use this. Thank you so much!

I stole the same letter... I too can't remember who's it was, but I do remember that it was a mom (her daughter was getting married)... I am also doing the passport welcome, and I highly discourage anyone from doing this, unless they are cut out for some serious work! I have decided that if I am ever in a position to torture someone, I will force them to make passport welcome books. :)

This was my welcome letter (also borrowed it from someone on here). I just printed it on nice paper with our logo on top.

I'm hoping to get a little guidance on the welcome letter. Did most of you sent out a prewedding letter and also include a welcome letter in the OOT bags? I felt like I needed to send something out in advance with an itinerary, travel information, shuttle information from the airport, etc. But I also think I need to also make a welcome letter with all of the maps, guest info, resort info etc. Just want to make sure it's not overkill. Thanks for any advice.

You aren't overdoing it. In fact, you are being very thoughtful and considerate to your whole wedding party. It's always better for sharing more information than not enough.

I, too, sent out a pre-wedding packet 3 weeks before departure which included the following: Countdown letter, pool party (in lieu of rehearsal dinner) invite, packing for paradise information, and contact information (bridal party & WP). In retrospect, I should have also included hotel numbers and more maps.

Countdown letter read:
It's time to start counting down the days until we are in (location), sitting by the ocean, soaking in the sund with a tropical drink in hand. We are glad you are joining us in (location) for the warm weather as we exchange vows and begin our lives together. In an effort to make your trip as easy as possible, we have included a "Packing for Paradise" brochure with useful travel information.
We're so very excited to take this journey with all of you. See you in (location)!

Love,
Us

Packing for Paradise information included:
"Packing can be stressful. No one likes to realize they forgot something. Hopefully, this brochure will help you remember everything."
Carry-on packing list
Check-in luggage packing list
Leave behind/to do before leaving checkoff list
Regulations for carry-ons "3-1-1 Rule" & checked bag fees

The welcome bags included the following: Welcome/thank you letter, The Big Day timeline, local maps and tourist info, personalized water bottles, snacks, and sunscreen with bug repellant

We are doing Welcome Books with only 6 pages: 1) Welcome Letter, 2) Schedule of Events, 3) Map of Resort, 4)Map of area outside resort (bars, restaurants),

5) Resort Activities & Island Activities, & 6) the Language of the Island.

Does anyone have any feedback on how they did their maps? We are trying to label the places where our welcome reception, ceremony, reception, etc will be. I have a map from the resort but wanted to see if anyone has other ways they did it.

Thanks!

I made maps using Google Earth because we are spread out across several villas and hotels. I also stole a few from the cabo visitors website.
