Turtle Bay Resort anyone?

My FI and I visited Turtle Bay Resort two years ago and fell in love with it. I was wondering if anyone has had a wedding there and how it went. Also, how is the pricing for food/beverage/etc.? Any details would be greatly appreciated.

Turtle Bay is absolutely amazing, or that's what I've heard and seen from pictures. We're planning on having our wedding on the North Shore and originally looked into turtle bay but it was too pricey for us. They have a beautiful glass chapel that I absolutely loved.

If I remember right the catering alone was about $10,000 but that was for a group of about 100. There was a whole bunch of other charges that would put us over our budget and just didn't seem practical for us. I'm sure there are some other ladies around here that can answer your question more in depth.

They do have a complete wedding package that is up around $10K but that includes x-amount of nights in their Beach Cottages, as well as all of your ceremony, dinner, photos, spa treatments etc. There's alot included for that price.

Then they also have a la carte packages where you would pay the site fees for the ceremony/reception (if any), chair rentals, F&B etc. Last I checked that glass chapel was renting for around $1200 for a ceremony. So depending upon the size of your group, it could be considerably less (Still higher than some other venues and resorts on the island though.)

Heather - you will love it!! It is so relaxing on the North Shore.

If you do end up going there - go eat at Haleiwa Eats if you like Thai food - it is to die for! It's a little hole in the wall and was BYOB last time we were there - totally worth the hour wait though.

Also, we set up a horsebackriding tour through the jungle and on the beach through the concierge - it was so much fun.

Here - I have a few from our trip about a 1 1/2 years ago (sorry they are small - I can't find the originals right now):

Bethany Hamilton surfing in front of the hotel! (this is the young girl who lost her arm to a shark attack - she's got guts to still be surfing!)
