Question about OOT Bags/Wedding Favors

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I have a question that's been puzzling me for a while. Do you have to give wedding favors or OOT bags if you are paying for everyone's accommodations (for approx. 28 adults/3 children - 14 bedrooms)? Can the wedding favor be the accommodations being provided for? If so, we've already let people know that the accommodations will be taken care of, but how do you present it as a wedding favor to them?

Thx!

I think paying for their accomodations is enough of a thank you gift. What about writing a letter to your guests thanking them for making the journey? Include a line about...in appreciate for traveling so far to be with us on our wedding day, we have paid for your accomodations at ________________. You could do a few luggage tags at pretty low cost to include? Or maybe something like a card that lists to most common French to English translations?

If someone was paying for my accommodations, I certainly wouldn't expect a favor or an oot bag!! I think you're being really generous already. I don't even think you need to say anything, although I like Andrea's suggestion if you want to include something.
