I say go for it. We started "trying" right before we left too. I say trying, I just stopped using protection of any kind. I say go for it!!! I'm still not prego and it's been a little over a month. Sometimes it can take a long time. My friend has been trying (like hardcore by the book) for six months with no luck! Good luck to you! And I can't believe how soon your wedding is! YAY!!

Personally, I wouldn't start trying until after the reception so I can enjoy all the champagne I want!! Plus, we are staying at an AI, so I plan on drinking my fair share of Mexican cocktails :)

Like Kat said, it sometimes take a while, but other times it's instant. You can't know for a few weeks and I would feel guilty drinking if I didn't know if I was prego. Just my opinion. If you aren't a big drinker, go for it if you both want to!

Does it have to be your own wedding? LOL. We decided to start trying at our friends DW since they were going to start trying too. It took one shot for us and we now have a little guy running all over the place and getting into everything. We call him our little Cuban!! LOL

We were thinking of trying for baby #3 in the Dominican after the wedding, but I wanted to fit into my dress for the AHR in March, and then my Mom booked a cruise for her, my little sister and I next Sept. I am not taking the kids and I don't want to be preggers since we are going to hit 6 flags in Cali afterwards, so the baby making is put on hold for another year. Maybe we can take an anniversary trip and make a baby then! Hmmmm!!! LOL

We have talked about this one. It's so tempting to "try" a little before the wedding. The unknowns are tough. It takes some people one try and others several years. I'm not sure what we'll decide to do. It's so exciting that we are to a place where we can make these decisions!

great topic! it's been a running joke that once we say "i do" my in-laws are going to lock us in our room and not let us out until i'm knocked up, LOL. they are seriously grandbaby-hungry and i think a bit nervous because i'm already 36 (will be almost 37 by the time of the wedding). it was supposed to be the baby-making trip for my MOH and her husband too, so we could be prego together (now she's not coming at all, and that's a different story for a different thread).

honestly tho, i know the ol' clock is ticking and all, but we will need to be looking for a house (no way we could raise a baby in that tiny apartment of ours) and my fiance will still have over a year of (full-time) school left, meaning we'll only have my salary to work with for awhile (and that's not much). so the timing isn't quite right for us yet, ya know?

hey just noticed that you are 37, so you're probably going thru the same pressures i am LOL. do you have any children or would this be your first?

if the timing is right for you and you both want it, i say go for it!

My sister and her husband made a 1st anniv baby on thier trip to St Thomas. They had a DW in Yosemite and took the 'honeymoon' trip for thier 1st anniv instead.

Funny thing is she is due right around my wedding. It's a good thing FI and I decided to elope, because now we wouldn't have a wedding party.

I was on the pill for almost 10 years and left it at home (on purpose) when we left for our wedding on May 10. I found out on June 18 that I was 4 weeks pregnant. So be prepared that it may happen right away!!! I thought it would take at least a month and honestly thought it would take probably 3-6 months to get pregnant, but it obviously didn't. I couldn't be happier!!!
