April 2009 Brides Check In!

Has anyone made or ordered their invitations yet?

We have an appointment after work tomorrow to look at some designs, I'm so excited to pick something, I really hope her prices are reasonable.

Curious to see where everyone else is with this process. I hope to have exciting news to share about them tomorrow!

I've designed mine and have printed one out to make sure everything works out. I'm just waiting now to get the right color card stock in bulk! Looking for some good prices - hve you found anything online?

So far I have -

Bought my dress

Bought my veil and garter

Booked the resort and airfare, and organised a group deal.

Sent STDs with all the trip info (really more of an invite)

Yep, I really haven't done much.

OMG you are all way ahead of me!!

We finally got confirmation from my little sister (the MOH) as to when she can escape from med school for the wedding ... so now the work begins!!

So what do I have done ...

- I have my dress

- we know where

- we now know when

- we know who we're inviting

- we have enough aeroplan points to get us there and back for cheap

- we have picked out the rings

So lots of planning has been done, now we can implement it all!

Ok, so I think I may be the most behind April bride there is!

Our wedding date is April 11, 2009. Here is what I've done so far:

1. Made a deposit with the location

2. Verbally told family/friends and bridal party

3. Ordered and received STD's

Yeah... so I've got a loooooong way to go. Feel free to poke fun at me... ;-)

Awww you're doing fine, plenty of time. You should start dress shopping soon though. If you don't buy off the rack, it can take 5-6 months to come in.

Just working on making our invitations, I used the boarding pass idea and found a great free template at Aylee bits » DIY: Boarding Pass Invitation / Save The Date

They worked out perfectly, and for 25 invites I spent a total of $25 including envelopes, the cutting tool and the perforator tool. And, got to have some fun with it!! :-)

My FI dad passed away almost 4 weeks ago today so I feel like we are at a standstill.

I've actually picked bridesmaids dresses and changed my mind on my dress this past week (he doesn't know any of this) but as far as anything else... nothing.

I've even asked him if he wants to postpone the wedding. He says no but at the same time I don't think he's ready to start talking "wedding" again

I did get a few more things done on my list... Our save the dates are sent, created a wedding logo, and narrowed down my dress options. I may post the finalists once I have narrowed it down to just 2.
