Hi everyone, thanks for the warm welcome!

As a general newbie, I'm curious about if most brides put a deposit down on their ceremony/reception site before visiting? If not, how far in advance do you recommend that I plan for a site visit? Will places still be available if I can't visit (Puerto Vallarta, most likely) until 8-12 months before?

My dilemma: do I try to take advantage of being 18 months out and securing places now, or do I wait until next Feb/March when we'll be able to visit for a few days?

It depends on if you want to get married in a villa or at a resort. I've been told that villas book up quickly and that I should secure mine as soon as possible. We're going to PV in a few weeks to view and choose and our wedding isn't until October 2010.

Hi Kathie! Glad to see another Bostonite planning a Mexican wedding! I have a quick question for you - are you planning to have a WC in Boston and in MX?

My random internet searches have left me at a loss with this one, although I'm thinking the WCs in PV are very professional, so no additional WC is necessary?

Do you plan on visiting again, or will you pretty much figure everything out on this upcoming visit?

Also, have you chosen a WC in PV yet?
