Newbie from Manitoba

Hi Everyone, My name is Suse. Ron and I were engaged back in December. We plan on getting married on the beach in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic if we can ever get a straight answer about what we need to do to get all the paper work translated and legalized -chuckles- And dang $640 USD for all the red tape. But I've heard that it will all be worth it. -fingers crossed- It would be a great help if anyone has been married in the DR. and are from Canada, but then any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! I don't know anything about DR, because I'm getting married in Mexico, but I know a lot of us are getting legally married before we leave (courthouse) and then just having a symbolic ceremony, because its such a hassle to get legally married in mexico and more money. Just a thought! Let us know if you need any help!
