I'm really hoping that I will be able to hang my dress on the plane. I've heard that some people were lucky and the attendants hung it in a closet or the captains area. I'm scared it will get really wrinkly otherwise! Does anyone know if I could still bring a carry on along with the dress hanging in one of those tall garment protectors? The rule is a carry on and one personal item. But I think the personal item is more like a purse or laptop. Any one know or have experience with this?
Which airline are you flying? We flew Air Jamaica and as soon as the flight attendant saw me with my dress she told me I could hang it on the hooks in the rear of First Class. This was great considering our seats were in Coach. IMO, I think you'd be fine bringing a carry-in plus your dress. I only had my dress and my beach bag, which doubled as my purse for the trip.

Also, I just booked my hair appt. and Darma told me they'll schedule the time when we get there. Is that what you guys did too?

Thanks again!
It was nice that they provided those things, but my hair just felt so knotty the whole time I was there. I don't think the shampoo and conditioner is very high quality. I did bring some of my own in 3 oz bottles, but was too lazy to drag them out once I discovered the nice little cosmetic bag full of goodies.

Yep, my hair appt was officially scheduled when I met with Suzette, our on-site WC. Steph and I had a similar experience there. It took me 2 1/2 hours to have my hair and make-up done. What really adds to the time is the fact that they wash AND dry your hair BEFORE anything else. To save time there you might want to wash and dry your hair yourself prior to your appt.

We flew Spiritair and I DO NOT reccomend them at all. I was not able to hang my dress in a closet cause there are no closets. I guess when you buy budget you get budget! It got us where we are going ahead of schedule so I shouldn't say it was a total nightmare but everything else was!

The dress worked out anyways. I was really stressed originally but I gave it a trial run about a week before and folded it and put it in my garmet bag over night. I then put it in my bathroom with the shower on hot like I was told to do and the wrinkes came right out so I didn't stress at all with it being in the bag on the trip. I used the bag as my carry on and Hollis carried another carryon. I also had a large purse that was actually a beach bag like Amanda did.

I agree with Amanda that the shampoo was lower quality. The wierd thing is in Jamaica it did ok and since I have been home and used it, I cannot get a brush through my hair. I have alittle left but quit using. I did like the way it smelled and I really liked the lotion too.

I'm hoping for the same thing. That's really one aspect of the trip that I'm most nervous about, though I was told my dress shouldn't wrinkle too easily. My fiance wanted to fly first class one way, so we're flying down first class...hopefully that will help!

I wouldn't stress too much about the dress wrinkling. After the flight you also have a 2 hour drive to the resort in a bus and there are no closets there. Our bus wasn't full so I could have hugn my dress over the seat but at that point I was exausted (we had gotten up at 2am) and I just let them store my dress bag and everything in the storage area. The humity is so great in Jamaica it looked just fine on my wedding day!!

I agree - by the time we got to our room my dress had really been crumpled, but was absolutely fine when I took it out of the bag once we were in our room. I didn't even have to steam it in the bathroom!

Hello, Did any of you rent a cabana around the pool? From what I hear they are $100/day and you get a special menu with lunch and dinner in the cabana. I'm wondering if the food is even any different and it the cabana is worth it. Thanks
