Photo Shoot Help/Tips needed ASAP!

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just found out that I will be participating in a photo shoot for a magazine tomorrow (not exactly sure which one, I think Modern Luxery...). We will shortly be closing down our current gallery (Reflection Fine Art Gallery | Dallas, Texas) and partnering with Phil Romano (of Romano's Macaroni Grill, Eatzi's, etc...) on an AMAZING new gallery - The Samuel Lynne Gallery

The name is a combination of Phil's son Samuel and ... ME! pinkie.gif We are both our father's only children. (isn't that sweet of them??) It's funny because "IRL" I normally just go by Jaime but now with the new gallery I will officially be going by Jaime Lynne. At least y'all will already be accustomed to it cheesy.gif

ANNNNNNYWAYS...

Since Phil and my Dad are both pretty well known here in Dallas the magazines have been competing to get the first story on this, and I've been invited to participate! How neat! I know we have some great photographers on here and I was wondering if you can give me any "tips" on how to look my best in a professional photo shoot. Are there any particular poses or ways to hold your face that are more flattering than others??

The shoot is at 9:30AM tomorrow (Thurs.) and I just found out tonight. I have no clue what I'm going to wear and don't know if I'll actually end up in the spread but if I do you know I'll post pics here! wink.gif

Yeah... the idea is to do group shots with my dad, me, phil and samuel to visually tie in the reason behind the new name. And maybe some of me & Samuel by ourselves... not really sure yet. btw, Samuel is only about 10 - super cute kid!

Honestly I don't really know what you mean by a formal shot. And really I have no clue what it will be like. It will be in the new gallery which has just been completely gutted for the big remodel - that's about all I know! My Dad did say that he is going to wear nice jeans and a nice "western" style shirt... "rock n' roll" as he calls it lol wink.gif

I was mainly just looking for those advice tips on "how to look 10 lbs lighter" if ya know what I mean rofl.gif

Jaime, I don't know if you'll have time to read this before you leave. First of all CONGRATULATIONS!!!! That's just awesome.

What to wear I would try to wear solids, I know that white, tans and blacks photographed the best. If they take full body shots, you can lean on one side a bit and put your arms around your waist, it'll make you look slimmer.

Other than that, just smile away and have fun with it. I'll have to come by and check out your new gallery. Where is it going to be?
