It is acutally a Bari Jay bridesmaid dress in ivory....it looks TOTALLY different on my than of the picture online..I will try and post a picture this weekend. I am glad I bought a new one. I would have been too hot in the other one that I still totally love!

Did you have to get a new one? You are about a month out, does yours still fit?

i'm changing mine too, but im actually doing it myself, there is a wide, contrasting band of champagne fabric at the top, im going to cinch it and stitch it in place creating the illusion of a sweetheart without actually changing the structure of the dress, but still adding the cleavage effect as well as making it not a straight across, high band.

no pics yet, tho i'll post when i do it!

You're so lucky you were able to get a new one!!

I wish I could have bought a new one too, but it was too late to return it.

I tried it on last week and it did not zip. So I'm meeting with the seamstress tomorrow to see what she can do. The girls in the boutique said that she can add some material and do a corset back instead of the zipper it currently has. I'm sure the alterations are going to cost at least $400-$500. But, I'm determined to wear it. fryingpan.gif

I know I'm going to be burning up too, so I'm going to look for a second reception dress this weekend to change into to.

Can't wait to see pics!!!

A friend of mine is getting married in 2 weeks and she had her zipper taken out and replaced with a lace up corset...it didn't cost her too much. I am sure things are way more expensive in Dallas than in Corpus though! Good luck! I bet you will be much more comfortable anyhow!
