Thanks, Sunbride, I'm going to go back and look at your pics again and zero in on that!!
Hi there! Congrats on your pregnancy! About the centerpieces I see in your pictures--a bit confused. Did you pay extra for the flowers/candle I see on the table? Or is it included if you get the silver or gold package?

Iowachik22, you were beautiful! Everyone looked like they were truly enjoying themselves, thank you for sharing your day. Were these the pictures from the onsite photographer? Do they set up the shots or do you get a say in where you take your pictures?

Any stress involved from the beginning to the end? (besides the sunscreen on specific areas?)

I posted a bunch of pictures of the seaside grill. There is a link in my review to all my albums but I'll post them again here

Yes, the rock area on the south end of the beach is probably the most popular spot for pictures! It's pretty much right next to the gazebo (you can see it in between the gazebo in this picture. This picture is taken a an angle facing down the beach rather than directly facing the water which is why you can see the rocks)

However, if you want to get married directly in front of the rocks, I'm guessing you would be allowed, but you would not have a gazebo set-up, just a table and chairs I guess. Why don't you ask the wedding coordinators? Although of course this is something that you could wait to ask when you arrive.

Hi Everyone!

Jeff and I are still planning on posting a real review but I had to write in to answer a few questions that have come up!

First, Sunbride, we stole your gazebo decoration idea - we saw it right before we left and loved it, and I sent my mom and sister out to buy green Tulle! We brought Sandra the picture that we printed from your wedding and left it with her.. looks like you may have started a new tradition!! We weren't planning to ask for the flowers in the walkway because we thought it might be too much trouble/ extra money, but Sandra said, Oh, and we can do the flowers like this too, to match your bouquets!! So, I was really pleased, it was beautiful, and no extra hassle!

Here's our first set of prefessional photos:

There's a couple of good ones of the gazebo and the El Patio setup.

del Sol Photography associate photographer Vincent

We did the buffet dinner - we had 42 guests and had to get it preapproved (Sandra emailed someone) since we were under 50 - we didn't want everyone to have one set menu. It wasn't a problem but it didn't seem like something they routinely did, and I think it would have been much more difficult if our group wasn't so close to 50.

The food was wonderful - actually probably the best quality overall of the whole week!

We reserved El Patio through Sandra months before the wedding - she sends a form after you finalize the date and then again 1 month before the wedding - you should definitely do that - with 2-3 weddings per day you definitely might not get what you want if you wait till the week you're down there.

That being said, I really don't think any of the options are bad. We had the cocktail hour on the beach, so thought it would be easier for everyone to be off the sand for dinner, plus we were closer to the bar/ bathrooms..

El Patio was closed as a private event for us. A few people asked and I don't know why we didn't have to pay the $750 and music wasn't a problem - each of you should pin Sandra or Landy down on that before finalizing the plans.. I think it probably is most dependent on the size of your group.

OK, I think that answers most of the questions I've received, but feel free to ask more!

Leah

Gorgeous pictures!!!!!! You were beautiful on your day!

I have a question. I know you were probbaly off taking pictures but how was the cocktail hour? Was it just a table set up on the beach with hors d' oeurves sp? and cocktails? Is there someone that serves them? Just curious how that all works.

Thanks! I love the pics too.. We saved money in so many other ways and I'm so glad we decided to splurge on Vincent!!

We were taking pictures during the cocktail hour but my family said it was great - per them - the Caribbean trio was really good background music that set the happy Mexican beach wedding mood, the drinks kept coming (we requested that they bring all different flavors of margaritas and they did that and more - they even recognized the father of the groom from previous nights and brought him cans of bud!!), the food was displayed on tables - they said it was a really nice display and everyone ate as soon as one person started, they said it was really tasty!

Beautiful photos! I love the pose of the groom and groomsmen leaning on palm trees, it's a great pose idea I've never seen before.

Your aisle flowers were a little different than mine since you had white ones with the pink lilies and I only had the pink lilies.

Your dress was kinda similar to mine! i.e. the crystals on the top, the rouching on the side.

Your gazebo tulle matched perfect with your dresses!

I'm thinking maybe the reason you didn't have to pay to make El Patio private is because the restaurant is not that big, and 50 people more or less fills it up so there would not have been space for others?

Or maybe it's because you had the ultimate package?

I was told with the ultimate package you could have a free private reception on the beach, although I'm pretty sure she said you still had to pay the 750$ for private in the restaurants.

Oh well, good for you!
