soon to be a Green

Hey, my name is Margaret and I have been engaged for over 3 years now. We have finally set a date and decided on a destination wedding due to financial reasons. We have decided on Montego Bay on September 6, 2008... yes 2008 :-)

We haven't booked it quite yet, still trying to figure out some small end things... you gotta love it:-)

Today, I went to Davids Bridal and picked out two dresses... both amazing, but still needing some 2nd opinions on them. We also just picked out and paid for our wedding rings... not bad for one days work!

Anyways, I am so excited to be apart of this site, and am anxiously trying to get as many points as possible to be able to fully access this site. If anyone has any advice or fun tips let me know...

Once again hello to all!

Welcome! We're gearing for Jamaica in December of this year, but as yet - have STILL not picked a location. We know the date and are drawn to Jamaica... but I keep flip-flopping, back and forth (and it's driving me absolutely crazy!) about exactly where to have it.

The more I think about it, as nice as Rose Hall resort appears to be (and they have a really good deal for an AI stay for the guests) I don't think I want to drop $5,000 (minimum cost on any of their packages) when we won't be able to dine together on the evening of the wedding - b/c they only accomodate tables of 10 or less! We could opt for a reception but then that would be another God-only-knows-how-much per person... ON TOP of the initial wedding package fee.

I'm gearing back toward ROR, me thinks... It's obviously better value for money... Actually, one gets very little at RHR for the cost of the wedding package...
