Anyone have any more info on the photographer? We're hoping to hire Del Sol but I didn't know what the fees for bringing him in would be.

Also, does anyone have a picture of where your wedding is (on the Tulum side) if it rains? We're thinking of October so there's a high risk of rain.
Hello...we just got back to Canada on Monday...Stayed at the Akumal and had Citalli from Claudia R for our picture's and there was no additional charge...

There is a large gazebo over there and I think it would be okay if it rains...But they may have some other inside location...The Akumal had an alcove in the auditorium...

Thanks for the tip, we are planning on having around 50 people do you know if the Dolce will allow a private reception? Also is there enough room to have the dancing portion in the restaurant would we need to rent the disco.
Just something I hadn't know until I arrived...You get 2 hours at the restaurant then if you go over its 400 an hour...

We did the private reception cocktail by the pool after dinner. But what our WC had told us when we inquired about the disco was: The Rancherita discoteque is 150 usd an hour and includes bartender, open bar, waiter service, DJ music and the exclusive of the place during the hire time. You can reserve it until 10:30pm and after that it is open to the public.

We only had three people in are party and it was at the Dolce Vita the menu was a la carte...We had are table free of charge from 530-730pm...But Yuritzia told us that if we went over the time it was a $400 dollar an hour charge(its in the contract you sign at your meeting with your co-rodinator)...

No we didn't rent the disco...

Good luck with planning any question's I would be more than happy to try and answer..

We went with Claudia's company but Citalli took the photo's...It was great...We got are photo's a few hours after the wedding so it was cooler and had sometime to get freshened up...Citalli and an assistant came to our room and we showed her some of our idea's...Paid her and we were on our way...They did an awesome job and did all they could to get the photo's we wanted...My husband found the sun so bright he couldn't keep his eye's open much, but they worked with that and tried to get different area's and angle's...I will receive the photo's in about three week's...I haven't seen them but Im sure they are going to be great, as they are very professional and have all the proper equipment...Are package was 100 photo's and they take alot more (400) to make sure...

No I didn't do the TTD picture's...

The wedding was so much more than I thought...Walking down the aisle with the wind blowing your veil and dress make's you feel like your in a fairy tale...

Good luck with the planning...And one thing to let you know, don't stress and worry too much...I did and once I arrived I found out it wasn't neccassary...They really know what they are doing...

Hi Ladies!

I'm considering GBP for my wedding in 2010 and I've been going through this long thread trying to find a couple answers to my questions ... I apologize if this is on here already...

I'm looking to get married in the gazebo ... the one I've seen on here is on the Tulum side correct? Is this the only gazebo, I though I read there was one on the Akumal?

I know whichever resort I stay at I have to have the ceremony and reception there too ... its ok if some guests stay at a different one but still come to the wedding right or does everyone have to stay at the same resort?

Also, excluding the wedding stuff ... you have access to all three resorts (pools, bars, restaurants) no matter which you stay at right?

thanks!

Yes, the Gazebo is on the Tulum side (for sure, I don't know about one on the Akumal side but I still have two weeks until my wedding), and yes, guests can stay at either the Tulum, Coba, or Akumal side (I had my TA check), but it isn't really recommended b/c from what my TA says, they're not exactly close walking distance and it will be harder for them to keep with the group...but if it's a last resort it would work.
