Postage Increase

Am I the only one that wasn't aware that their will be a postage increase on May 12, 2008? I was very excited to get my invites mailed on Saturday and my response cards aren't due until June 10, 2008 but what I didn't realize is that I put 41 cent stamps on my response cards and the postage goes up on May 12? Now what do I do? I mailed all my invites?? Do I just hope everyone sends them back in 2 weeks? HELP!!

Do they give you a grace period? I know i've sent things unknowingly after a postage increase and they went through.

were they forever stamps? (the liberty bell ones) if so, those will be valid forever...

There are no provisions for a grace period. If your letters went through, the people receiving the mail would have to pay the postage due.

No, he didn't tell me and I even had them weighed to make sure they were only 41 cents and he asked if it was for a wedding. No, I thought I was being cute and put the heart ones on..not the forever stamps.

yeah melanie is right, there is no grace period at all. do you have a wedding website that you could put up a little note about the rsvp postage?

Yes, I do that is a great idea I never even thought of that. I put my website on my invites. Thanks I will add that now.

ahhh..I did the same thing! I mailed them out and hopefully people will just mail them back before that date...if not then I guess they might have to put one on....i dont know what else I could have done!
