Hospital Sued After Babies Switched

oh this is terrible and im so glad the moms have the right babies. its crazy b/c when me and my siblings were younger we used to tease and say "u were switched at birth!" and its nuts that this can really happen.

Scary but I'm so glad it was figured out. I wonder how often this happens undiscovered.

that is horrible. When i had Amir the security was so strict it was annoying. I kept him in the room with me and when the nurse came in she checked his leg band and my arm band and when he went for his bilirubin and I came in to nurse they checked him.

Actually Abby they put them on a thing with straps and buckle them down..to circumcise that is. This is a huge add to the list on why I'm having a home water birth!!!! I'm not waiting to hold my baby. And it's not leaving my side either. Hahaha.

steve didn't let the baby out of his sight when they took him away. he went with the baby.

also, they were very strict about the bands...they compared the baby's band with mine every time they took him.

scary but it was good that they fixed the problem sooner than later. 50k for that Im sure the 17 year older will need it... Just not sure if i would take it that far. I would be just happy to have my baby back!

This is absolutley ridiculous! I work in a neonatal intensive care unit, and if our babies had ID bands that were lose, we have to replace them... If the babies are too small to wear them, they are taped to their IV boards.... When I have to go to the floor, the same thing happens as what Sarah was saying... Some people are major idiots...... How do you risk something like sending a child home with the wrong parents?!

that is really scary, especially with all the stuff they have now to link the baby with the mom
