My name is Andi and I am pretty new to the board and just finished reading this entire thread! I am so excited about what i have just read! We are now considering LC as an option for us. I just have a quick question, probably a really silly one but how does transportation work as far as getting guests from the hotel to the dock (or wherever the boat takes off from)? Do you have to set something extra up like a bus?

Oh, also one more quick thing...where exactly in PV does the LC boat depart from?

Thank you for all the wonderful information so far!
Hey, Andi! You can arrange transportation from the hotel to the marina through Nicole or Kelley, the Caletas wedding coordinators, or you can get there on your own. We did the bus, since the majority of our guests were staying at the same hotel (Dreams) and it worked out great. The 1 family that was staying somewhere else, we just told them to meet us at the marina in PV at a certain time. It is an additional cost - but I want to say it was maybe $10 per person.

I think there are 2 locations you can get the boat from - but ours was the marina in PV, i think there's also a location in NV too.

For the brides that had their wedding around May or at least when their ceremony was during the day and not close to sunset...how sunny was it during the ceremony? Was the area pretty well shaded? Or direct sunlight? I have lived in AZ all of my life and am completely dependent on sunglasses, but I don't want to wear them for the ceremony, but also don't want to have me squinting in every picture. Anyone have any advice?

You were not a bridehuh.gif?? I'm confused...or maybe slow...well did you need sunglasses? Everytime I've been there I've worn sunglasses, but we had usually left by 4ish.

Sorry, that was confusing! I was a sunset bride, but have been there during the day a few times. What I meant to say was that hopefully a daytime bride can chime in...lol Sorry!

I didn't wear glasses when I visited during the day, but I did wear a hat so I guess it's the same concept.

I didn't think they did daytime weddings there, because of the day trips. I know they don't have a day trip on Sunday's but I think you can go over earlier but the wedding is still around sunset. I could be wrong, we just changed our date to Sunday instead of Monday a couple of days ago, so still a lot to figure out!

If anyone knows differently, it would be very interesting to find out!

Okay, weird question, and I will ask Nicole to be sure...but has anyone considered having one of the MC's from the day tour do their wedding (mc or dj)? My family loved Allan (sp?). His personality was great, accent was charming, and energy was fantastic. I think it would kind of screw up the day trip tho, but I would happy having him run the music and do the MC'inc. Just a thought...
