2008 Brides - what did you spend or budget on photography?

Recommended Posts

I know this is a personal question but we are having a really hard time biting the bullet and booking a photog - I was wondering if anyone wanted to share the types of packages that they have booked and the cost..

Our photographer charges us the cost of the trip plus half. Our trip is around $1700 (Canadian including tax) so $1700 plus $850 for a total of $2550. For that we get her and an assitant the entire wedding day plus a TTD shoot two days after the wedding. Her assistant is normally her husband but he can't get our wedding week off of work so she's bringing her best friend - who also happens to be a professional photographer! :)

Lets see, our package was just under $3000. We get:

-Engagement session and 1- 8x10 print of our choice from it (we can buy more prints if we choose, we're getting 100 wallet size to enclose in the invites for $70)

-12x12 -20 page flush mount album with 42 images (and then the background image is also a picture, but doesnt count as 1 of the 40, so we actually get more)

-$600 print credit

-box of unretouched proofs (about 500!) to do what we want with

-free photoshopping for blemishes or whatever

-6 hours

-2 photogs, him and his wife are a team, aww, how cute :)

-the rights to all images on a CD after one year, not sur what thats about, or how much it will cost?? but we want it!

-I feel like there is more but I can't think what?
