I decided that I am going to try to add the "bling" factor to my monogram letter. Can anyone recommend which swarovski crystal sizes that I should be looking for? My monogram topper is 5 inches and is made out of acrylic mirror.

Thanks in advance!

I used the 16ss size for my topper. Pictures in my bio. BTW, if you choose to make it, use jewelry embellishing glue, not the E3000. I originally was going to use the E3000, but read the warnings and it's harmful if ingested and caused cancer in lab studies. So I stayed clear of that brand.

CheeseDiva and Ticia, your toppers are LOVELY!!!! Ticia, I've been stalking your bio....lol. Everything is simply beautiful!! Your invites.......OMG....they are to die for!!! Thanks for the tip about using jewelry embellishment glue. What tool do you use to apply the crystals to the cake topper? maybe a pair of tweasers?

So back to the cake topper....lol. I am planning on using a variety of colors. Should I be getting the same size for each color or should i mix it up.

cheesediva, i noticed that you used 16 and 12mm crystals.

Twelvepiece: Do you think that the 4mm will be too small.

I would vary the sizes.. especially because you may not be able to fit the same size across the entire section (you want to cover as much as possible)

I bought a starter kit through Tami's website that was very helpful. It came with a polishing cloth, tweezers, glue and a pointer thing that you can dab in the glue.. Basically I made a blob of glue and just dipped the back of my crystals in it using the tweezers, but everyone seems to have their own method. Warning: it took hours but was well worth it.

I had tons of crystals left over and used them on my menus and place cards.

Tami was great about sending me actual pictures of the crystals I was interested in. It helped to really see the colors and sizes.
