Here's the Wikipedia definition.

In Canada, a stag and doe, or buck and doe, is a wedding tradition popular in rural Southern Ontario.[1] The event is held by a bride and groom before they are married, similar to a combined bachelor party and bachelorette party, but acting as a fundraiser for the wedding. Guests purchase entrance tickets and are entertained.

I think we need to start these in the US! A wedding fundraiser sure would have been helpful!bunny_4.gif

You know, my future son-in-law is from northern rural Ontario, and Stag & Does are very popular in his family. His sister wanted to know when she should organize it and I thought it in very poor taste.

They might be having one but are not telling me about it because they know I'm not fond of the idea.
