I spent the morning having breakfast with all the ladies (ladies only breakfast cheesy.gif) and then me and my bridesmaids began getting ready. I also had a massage to calm my nerves. That was the best massage ever and so worth it. My nerves were crazy!!!
HA! Nothing like real life to get in the way of a plan...lol Wouldn't you have gone crazy being drunk in the room without him? It may have worked out for the better. BTW I also advocate the wedding day massage. Fabulous!

I think there is anticipation no matter what. I wouldn't have been able to sleep without him and probably would have been on the phone to his room all night, so I'm glad we were together. Plus I was away from him the whole day of and that drove us crazy enough! I guess we aren't good at seperation :P

We are planning on not staying together the whole week. The more I think about it the harder it sounds. I definitely do not want to stay in the same room the night before. Not sure what the logistics will be yet.

I do plan on having breakfast with my parents before I head off to Las Caletas. Sort of a goodbye as their little girl...and thank you as an adult.

Sarah, that sounds so sweet. I am staying with my GF's the night before the wedding. One "last" girls night out. We too have been dating over six years and also live together, but love the thought of him not seeing me all day until I walk down the isle.

We had decided fairly early on that we wouldn't spend the night together or see each other at all before the wedding. It actually worked out pretty well, considering we were on a cruise ship and the chances of bumping into each other were pretty high.

Timm had a cigar and whiskey evening with his brothers and two guy friends who were along on the trip...apparently only two of them were able to actually smoke the cigar and stomach the whiskey. wink.gif After that he spent the night in his brother's room, while his sister moved over to our room to stay with me. It was really cute because in the morning, I heard this voice across the room as I was waking up say "you're getting married today".

Leading up to the wedding we had a system set up so that we wouldn't be in the room at the same time: post-its on the door saying whether I was in the room or whether he was in the room. There was too much stuff to remember for both of us so trying to move everything to a different room was just not going to happen. It worked great. I headed off the ship at 8 to get my hair done, so Timm had the room to himself until I returned. When I did (around 11:30), he was gone and I was able to get in and get dressed.

I wouldn't have done this any differently at all, I loved the anticipation leading up to walking down the aisle, and hearing the stories after of how everything worked out.

Wow...good luck Yari! The whole week? That's a test of willpower for sure, and one that I would fail miserably...lol

What great stories! We have been going back and forth on this issue. The entire family thinks that it would be terrible for us to stay together the night before (even though we've lived together for 2 years now). And although it sounds incredibly sweet not to spend the night together, I really don't think I can do it. Just thinking about spending the night apart gives me anxiety! We do plan on seperating as soon as we awake though. I think i'll look into getting a massage that morning too. Sounds like the perfect way to calm the nerves!

Well, we planned to split up the night before. But our week was already stressful. I was going to stay with my mom but she didn't make it in time. So he was going to stay with his BM. But when we got down to it. I was already a mess and so we decided against it. We slept in the same room. The next morning we just went out on the ocean with our quests. At 12 I went to my room and he brought me lunch and left. I did see him before the aisle b/c he was in the lobby when he wasn't suppose to. But he didn't see me. But it turned out fine. Of course none of it was suppose to happen that way. Emergency's happen. Oh well.

I took the complimentary room at Dreams for the night before. We both wanted to build up some anticipation before the ceremony and having all that alone time really made seeing eachother special. We did have a 10AM ceremony though and we were alone at the resort with no guests.

The night before I sat around my room and watched some guy movies on USA network. I think it was a Chuck Norris movie if I remember correctly. Sat on the balcony and smoked a lot of cigarettes, drank a little tequila, and tried my best to go to sleep. It was really nice having the time to myself to get excited for the morning. It probably would have been difficult though if we had an afternoon or evening ceremony.
