ugh im such a bad bride...

...so last night i couldn't sleep, and started thinking about all the things i've gotta do in the next week and whatever else...

and then it hit me...

I HAVENT DONE MY FRIGGING THANK YOU CARDS FOR THE WEDDING)%@#)&@*$)&@)#*$&*

so here I am at 6am, furiously writing them out, apologizing on each one for how long it's taken me to get around to them...

i feel so horrible

so many things have gone on since we got married that it just completely slipped my mind

Don't worry too much about it. I think you technically have 1 year from your wedding to send them out.

Note to self, do thankyou cards! Your not alone.

I think every bride feels such relief when it's all over that the TY cards always take a long time! Take an aspirin for that hand that's about to cramp.

Yeah, you have a year according to Generally Accepted Wedding Etiquette Guidelines When I did mine, I tried really hard to write something personal in each card - I ended up barely being able to finish because my brain & hand hurt so much!!

If it helps Melissa, I still have like 5 sitting around that I need to hunt down addresses for. It was amazing this amount of gifts that we got from totally random people- like my friend's aunt (why would she send a gift, I hardly know her?), and our best man's grandma (met her like twice). This reminds me that I need to get those out...

I too have been to weddings within the last couple years and didn't receive a thank you for my gift. Tacky. I don't care if it's a year later- just send it! lol

"I wouldn't worry to much" this is said from the person who has been pushing the Thank you Cards to a later date.

I want to buy cards with our picture on it but haven't had time nor money to do so. I do think you have a year to send out the TY cards.

You just send it to people who gave you gifts right? or should I also send it to the people that came to the wedding (we had 19 people there)?

Don't fret, we went to a wedding 1 1/2 yrs ago and gave the couple crystal goblets and Egyptian cotton sheets and we got NO thank you note or mention of it the times we've seen them since. At least you're doing it.

We sent ours already but that's mainly because I designed cool ones with our wedding pictures on them so I was excited to send them out. But gifts are still coming in and we haven't sent them all yet. It will get done )
