You can always change your wedding package - you cannot change the specials that are offered after you sign your wedding contract ("bride and groom stay free" came out after I booked and I was not eligible for that promotion).

I ordered save the dates just yesterday...went super-simple..because I couldn't justify spending a lot of pre-invitations...
All I do is google weddings...destinations weddings...weddign dresses...azul sensatori....

I was so antsy yesterday..I almost dragged FI to go register...and that might be a tiny bit too early

I'm doing OOT bags and in them I'm putting stadium cups, shot glasses, a miniature bottle of tequila, a pack of cosmopolitan mix, personalized deck of cards, a welcome brochure and a weekend survival/hangover kit. I feel kind of bad though because I didn't want to spend a lot on the bag so the bags I ended up getting are soooooo cheesy! LOL At this point though I don't have the energy to try to find anything better so hopefully they'll pay more attention to what's in the bag instead of the bag themselves. FI wants to go room to room to hand out the bags as people arrive. At the reception we're giving cigars to the men and fans to the women.

My TA just emailed me all of the updates...I'm pretty sure I can't add attachments yet...but if anyone wants to see them...PM me your email and I'll send it over....

Hello, I have not posted too much on here but have been reading through everything and havefound it to be really helpful, so thanks for all the great information!!
We have secured our wedding date at Azul in April but I am wondering how soon did everyone start deciding things like the reception space, food,flower, ect.? April feels pretty far off but I don't want to be behind the curve either.

my wedding is only 3 months out but i've been able to convince wc to give me things that are now offered for newly booked guests (i.e. free cocktail reception) so perhaps I can get a few more extras. Doesn't hurt to try, right?

Someone asked about paper lanterns, but I can't remember who it was. We brought 22 lanterns down and I think it was the perfect number. We got 8", 10" 14" and 16" (I think).

I am emailing my TA right now - I haven't received any news about new packages and I think I definitely will want to look at downgrading and then just picking and choosing add ons.

Does anyone know if the additional/unlimited chairs is only for the silver package or does it apply to the lower packages/pearl package as well?




This is very helpful. Thanks Meghan. Can I ask, did you do the paper lanterns totally DIY (ie. the whole LED lights/batteries taped together kind of thing) or did you use those LED tealights? I'm worried about how finicky or complicated it might be to do them DIY once we're down there. Advice?!?
