I confess that I am secretly angry that my sister is unintentionally ruining my Wedding...even though I cannot be angry because she has schizophrenia and is having a relapse right now. I confess that this is completely selfish of me, but her behavior and aggression is making it hard for me to remember she does not have control.

whew - that felt good (and made me seem very unappreciative of the situation, but her behavior has been horrible to my family and it's been a bad few weeks)

I confess that I'm secrectly angry at my parents because my mom lost her job last year and can't help me pay for our wedding. Now that she got a job again, I'm not sure if they're going to help but am too scared to ask because if they can't, I don't want to make them feel guilty. But the whole situation just sucks and I feel cheated. I know that's selfish because there are way more important things for them to worry about financially than my wedding.

Ok. Firstly, I love this thread.

My confession:

I asked my MOH to be the MOH because we were best friends in high school, and still are close. But i really wish i could've asked my two real best friends to be my co-MOHs because they are the people that i'm closest with. They're my true drama-free, besties that i know i can always count on. My MOH was born into a privileged family, aned acts snooty, spoiled, and self-centred. She's even gone so far as to talk about my other to bms and how they're stuck up!!!!! ACKGhhhhh.

I thought that it might be hard for me after the wedding when I didn't have anything to do anymore. But it's not, I'm glad to have the stress lifted and to actually be married, it's a wonderful feeling, even if we do have to go back to work and "real life" now.

However my confession is that the wedding did not go how it was supposed to. The ceremony was incredible and everyone had a great time and says it was a beautiful wedding but all I can think of is what didn't go right and the way that some people acted, including my "best friends" and even my mom not being there as much as I hoped she would.

Plus for some reason it's like you get married and everyone disappears, trying to give you that "newlywed time". I didn't really expect to start my married life feeling deserted by friends. I love my husband and am so incredibly happy to be married, but I still need friends you know?

I figured if anyone, you ladies would know what that's like.

I know the feeling. I wanted the beach wedding and got a resort chapel. It was hard seeing the weddings in Maui while we were there for the honeymoon.

you can still wear the cinderella ballgown ... lots of girls do. mine was satin and beaded and had a cathedral length train. i'm not going to say i didn't sweat my freaking ass off because i definitely DID, but that's the dress that made my mom cry and made me feel like a "bride." and if the church part is important to you, you can always have the marriage blessed at home.
