No joke...they lost my e ring

Last week I took my ring in to fix a loose diamond and now they can't find it. I am so upset. They ate being nice and I'll probably end up with a more expensive ring but it's not the same. We are talking to regional vp tonight to decide what to do. For any Chicago area brides here, do not go to ultra diamonds. How can they mess up like this? When I dropped it off the saleslady was really rude and FI called and complained. Now this happens. Honestly, I think she took it.

That truly sucks and you are right a replacement, even though more expensive, will not replace your original which has sentimental value. Good luck and keep us updated on what happens after your talks with the VP.

OMG! That is brutal and I am sooo sorry you are having to deal with this! I can't even imagine ....I agree, it's just not the same. I really hope that it will turn up! They should search that bi*atch!

What!?!?! This is terrible! I am so sorry. Things happen for a reason so I'm sure something good will come out of it. Here's to hoping they find your original ring and give you an upgrade!!!

I'm so sorry, I can't imagine going through this! You're right, it's not the same to have a replacement. I hope they find it and you get something really big out of it!

That totally sucks and I know exactly how you feel since we lost my ering in Disney in April. I was super upset, obviously, but lucky for us we had it insured. The thing I was concerned about was the sentimental meaning behind it as well, but my husband surprised me a few weeks ago and picked up the replacement ring early and asked me to marry him all over again! So it's officially my engagement ring as well. I only tell that story so you can see that you can create new sentimental memories as well.

CArly how did you lose your ring in Disney?

Well it's a long story so to give the quick and dirty details, I had taken it off b/c my fingers were swelling from the heat and then a bunch of random things happened (lost other bag, husband got mad, ring zipped inside the cooler, then husband took sandwich out of cooler w/o paying attention and ring was gone). It was a comedy of errors that day and I almost feel like it was meant to be lost or something b/c so many bad things happened. I miss my old ring, but my new ring is better quality, bigger carat, better color, etc. So at least I got an upgrade out of the deal. I've been staring at my ring like a newly engaged person again.

If mine doesnt turn up by monday the VP said she will do everything she can to get me a bigger and better ring. She said that we can do the same setting that we had but Im not sure thats what I want now. After working with it since October I would change a few things. Hmmmm....
