Good News is budget is now back under a mangeable amount and next stop get this resort BOOKED!!! YAH!
In GOOD NEWS I got an email confirmation for my appt at J. Crew Wedding Boutique in NYC. I will be up there for business in July so I am going to MY FIRST offical Dress outing to see what they have. Up till now it's been all on the internet!
Congrats on getting it confirmed. I'm at about the same exact stage. We've started booking etc. but are STILL waiting to hear from the onsite coordinators that we can have the reception at Plaza Zavaz for sure. My Miami WC (Carolina) says she doesn't see how it would be a problem but is waiting for written confirmation.

Also so exciting about the wedding dress outing! cheer2.gif Sometimes you ladies make me think I am so far behind in my planning...eek! eek.gif

I know this has been covered before but I've forgotten - would anyone mind telling me how to do multiple quotes in one message so I can stop writing 3 or 4 in a row (and probably irritating everyone in the process) :-) THANKS!!

Oops, I keep writing the wrong date! We are hoping for MAY 7, 2011. We were originally looking at March, and I keep mixing up the dates... I even requested the wrong date on their site! Hopefully, we get it all straightened out

It's so easy to get overwhelmed when you start adding everything up, but I'm glad you were able to sort out your budget. As long as you get your donkey cocktail hour, it's all good! LOL

My suggestion is to make sure your cocktail hour is long enough, I saw the donkey on my way in and loved it but by time my photos were done on the beach he was gone and I don't have have a single photo with him.
I agree w/ Amy F!!! Or you could do pictures with your FI and wedding party before the wedding so you can actually attend your cocktail party!

My schedule was:
430 - wedding
5-7 - cocktails
7-11 - reception

I would push the wedding up 1/2 hour to 4pm and do pictures with the groups from 430-5 then pics w/ FI from 5-530/545.

Oooooh fun!!! I would love to have gone dress shopping in NYC!

I have a friend who just got her dress from Kleinfeld's. She went in expecting the appointment to go horribly awry and was more going b/c the place is so famous. She never dreamed she'd get a dress that day. I'm so jealous she got to go there! I just want the experience of it.

I'm considering for the arch/gazebo decoration, just bringing down a huge bolt of white tulle or similar fabric...you can find 40 yards online for $20. I would think a couple of those would definitely be enough to decorate the arch...right? Or am I way off base?

I'm the antithesis of creative, so please help me if I'm leading myself astray....:)

The canopy is probably 15 feet tall and 15 feet wide maybe?

Beaz2be - keep hitting the "MQ" button and when you have all the ones you want to mulitquote highlighted, hit "Quote" button on one of the conversations and the reply screen will pop up with each one quoted in the response box!

That's the million dollar question...I'll have to e-mail the company and find out. They also sell it in 100 yard rolls...I'm hoping that since it's such a light fabric, it won't be too heavy or bulky.

I just don't understand the cost they charge ($300? Really?!) for such a relatively small amount of fabric. You'd think it was lined in gold or something!
