ROYAL PLAYA DEL CARMEN BRIDES: were kids allowed for the day? ...and other questions

Recommended Posts

Hi Julia, so glad you had an awesome wedding and everything went well for you! Question, did they did not let you and your photog in the area? We are planning to go to Tulum to do our TTD. Is the beach off limits as well?

Thanks!

MSglave - I'm sorry were you at the Pelicanos beach? If so I think your fine there. Especially because by 5pm in December its dark so no one is on the beach.

Lady Di - The beach is public so you won't have any issues doing your TTD session there but if you want to do it in a Cenote or the Ruins or anywhere historical they usually will not allow it. However I do know of some people who called and asked if they could get permission and they were allowed to. They did have to pay for one of the tour guides to let them in and he stayed with them during the session in one of the cenotes.

Everyone - for past and future brides what are you guys doing for OOT bags? Do you think tumblers are worth getting for this resort, what about beach towels? I'm starting to think about them now and hoping in the next two months to start buying the items but I wanted everyone's advice. I know at some resorts the cups are worth it but I heard at others its not.

Thanks-We are on Pelicano's beach. I am doing OOT bags. I got flip flop bags from Oriental Trading. We are putting flip flop playing cards, water guns, door knob hangers, palm tree ink pens, a spanish/english guide, flip flop bookmark, flip flop notepad, postcards, hangover kits (tylenol, alka seltzer, pepppermint, gatorade/powerade/propel mix), another kit (I haven't named it yet. )It's gonna have q-tips, a razor, bandaids, alcohol wipes and safety pins, tip/room card holder, hand sanitizer, antibacterial hand wipes, a thank you magnet, welcome letter and snacks. I think I'm thinking about doing a welcome to Mexico book. Hope this helps!

I did insulated mugs for everyone, and they were a total hit!! Drinks stayed cold and you got more in the mug then the glasses they have. Make sure to bring a sharpie marker though so you can write names on the glasses cause know one will be able to keep track of theirs..Plus it's easier for the servers to remember the drinks too!

I'm pretty sure it's for any outside guests. I have a few guests staying at timeshares down the road...I was under the impression that they could purchase day passes.
