I did the LOVE package so my bouquet was included!! My BM bouquets I think were around $30-40. I honestly forget but it was not too bad.

I chose to write our own ceremony. We did a symbolic ceremony because it is much easier. we went to city hall in our city and did it legally when we returned. You could do it right before you go too we just had no time. To make it legal there you need to be there like 4 days prior and get blood work etc. I'm a nurse ans there was no way I was going to let them draw my blood in mexico-never know where their supplies come from etc (i'm a little too cautious)!

You can use the resorts if you want to or use mine. It was short but sweet. I printed mine out and gave it to ANA who gave it to the officiant. He added a little bit which was fine with me. These guys do this all day long so there's no need to meet with him prior. They know what they are doing. Hope this helps...Leigh
THANKS!! I have nine more days till mexico and did not know the answer to that question. You are awesome.

For the welcome party you can certainly have Ana help you plan a private function - and you will pay per person for food/drinks...you could do a buffet or just apps if you wanted to keep the cost down.
While I was there I saw plenty of people just meet up at certain locations. If you just want cocktails - meeting at Desires when it opens is a great idea - I'd suggest taking over the terrace, it's really nice and comfy. You could also have people meet at the lobby bar - rendezvous - there is a TON of seating and the bartenders are awesome there (as well as in desires). There is no food served at Desires or in the lobby - all the food is in the restaurants. Both desires and the lobby are super close to the restaurants as well.

Do you know if kids are allowed in the bars? I know the whole place is all incisive but I didn't know if the designated bar areas were adults only.
Thanks,
Lori

Hi all! I just wanted to log in and update you on how things went with my wedding on may 7th. It was amazing! All of my guests were blown away with the wedding and resort. I will write a review upon my return. I just want to say that we left the resort today and are honeymooning at the royal playa del carmen...I miss drc already! So glad we chose to get married there! The royal is too big and the beach feels like a public beach.

There will only be a small group (like 5 men) so I was thinking maybe they could do the golf that is offered. Does anyone know how far away from the Dreams resort the other resort that offers golf is? Also, if they do a really early tee time, think they would be back in plenty of time to get ready? Me and the girls will be hitting the spa...so no problems for us! :)
My wedding was at 3 and origionally I was thinking the same thing too but we realized that there is a extra fee for early tee times and the free golf is about an hour away. So you figure if they went really early then maybe they would make it back on time. We didn't chance it and the guys didn't think it was worth the extra fees. Also, our wedding was April 10 so it was a very busy time for the resort so we could not get the additional room for the grrom the night before. So we ended up just hanging with everyone all day hitting the spa etc... The spa is awesome! After my hubby to be took his shower he went to someones elses room to finish getting ready while the girls were in our room. They ended up at the lobby bar for a bit before the ceremony and it was perfect!
