I am looking at Edventure Tours--http://www.edventuretours.com.mx/home/tours.htm. I like it because people can add on with what they want, and it covers ziplines, snorkeling, Tulum ruins, and private transportation.

Or I was also thinking about Xcaret or Xplor. Any thoughts either way on these ideas?
DH and I did Tulum Xtreme. It was small-van transport (no large buses means fewer people to pick up), Tulum for 1.5 hours, zip lining, rappeling, and cenote snorkeling. I think it was $106/pp.

I would NOT recommend this tour!! Tulum was great and the cenote was our favorite part. However, the zip lining and rappeling sucked in our opinions. There were only 3 zip lines, relatively high but not much of a grade so you go kinda slow, and the rappeling was from atop a wooden structure they built. We thought it'd be real rappeling.

Had we to do it over again, we would have gone to Xel-ha. Some of our guests had been there previously and just raved and raved. I'm told to really enjoy Xcaret you need a full day.

Our photog went to Xplor this trip and said it was really cool with a lot of variety.

Hi Renee, I am using a company that will take us zip lining, snorkeling in cenotes, and visiting the Tulum ruins. They pick us up at the hotels and it includes lunch as well. Its approx 6 hours and costs $93 per person. They are getting us at 9:30am and I think we get back to the hotel around 3pm.

I suggest you use the lady I used - tell her I sent you - Susan Vincil from CancunAndRivieraMaya.com - email is [email protected]

They use a lot of different tour companies - so all of your ideas she can price out for you. Its so much easier than contacting 3 different vendors yourself.

Or, you could do a trip into Cancun one night or day. Susan lives down in that area so she can give you some other ideas.

Good luck!

I'm doing Selvatica tour Zip Lining that is a zip line into cenote plus round trip transportation and pickup from your hotel for $90pp. I searched the internet and Trip Advisor rated this as the number one thing to do in the area. Also, I've heard a lot of rave reviews about this place from others.

We're doing this just the 2 of us though.

I'm back and we had the MOST AMAZING time!!!! AB could not have been more perfect for our wedding. I can't wait til I get my pictures and can share with you. Oddly enough, being a bride I didn't carry around my camera that day so I'm at the mercy of our families and my photog, LOL.

Unfortunately, it rained and rained and rained our first 3 days there. Not just sprinkles or mist but full on side-blowing rain. We had to cancel the sailing trip (no worries for all you gals that have booked with Paradise Catamarans...full refund with no problems) and ended up renting vans to take our guests into town for dinner instead. They were getting a bit stir-crazy with the rain.

BUT, somebody was looking out for us because we went to bed the night before the wedding to pouring rain and woke up to blue skies on wedding day!!!!!! The clouds rolled in around ceremony time but the first drop didn't fall until the final blessing. Perfect timing if you're going to have rain on your wedding day!

I'll write a full review later with all the details but I just wanted to pop in and say that the whole experience at AB could not have been any better. Superb everything: food, staff, beaches, onsite team. Absolutely perfect!

Now I've got a lot of catching up to do!!!
Welcome back!!! Can't wait to hear about all the details!! SOOOO glad the rain stopped before your wedding day!!! Congrats again!thewave.gif

welcome.gif and congrats!!

I wish there were an easier way but the MOST helpful is to read through the thread and search for planning and review threads of Azul Sensatori, those proved most helpful to me!

Welcome! Congrats on booking at Azul Sensatori!

Judging by what some of the brides said, I would try to be indoors or at least more protected once the sun goes down as the Riviera Maya is windy and can be chilly in February. Start googling images of the AS and different locations options. And definitley read through and do searches on the AS wedding reviews and pictures. Look over the del Sol photos and Elizabeth Medina and Claudia Rodguiez's websites for AS pix. I also used You Tube. There are TONS of videos on there that will give you a 3 dimensional view of the restaurants, beachs, and plazas.

My biggest suggestion is to book rooms through the hotel itself or get a very knowledgeable TA specializing in groups or DWs. Do not get some local business person you want to help. That does not work and it will cause you headaches massively.

Good luck and read & ask away!

I'll just echo the other girls...I know it's annoying, but the best bet is to read through this thread, as well as the AS ones in the planning thread. google it and look on you tube. then start asking LOADS of questions on here - we've all done it so don't be shy!!!

congrats on booking your wedding too - that's one of the hardest parts!
