Dreams Riviera Cancun - Brides post here (new thread)

Feeling good today. I got an initial contract summary from Zuniga Productions for the additional ceremony and reception decor, corresponded with Ivan from DooReemix that he can slot us in for his DJ services and dance floor for May 8th and will forward the 2011 rates when he posts them AND emailed and got a ridiculously prompt response back from Ana! Finally got my form sent to me for the deposit :-) I decided to stay motivated and even choose the items for the welcome bags and favors for the reception tables. Guess it pays to be stuck inside on rainy days - I was actually productive today :-) Now for then next year to go by ... LOL

I have actually been looking for linen as well! I have a vendor for the chiavary chairs, rose pomanders, and the lounge furniture but their gallery of possible linens was not impressive at all - I just emailed Zuniga Productions - what all are you getting from there? how has communicated been? what are their prices like? Thanks!

There prices are turning out to be very reasonable. So far I'm getting all my additional 4 florals and color sashes for the chuppah decor, 8 florals for the aisle chairs at the ceremony (which they are designing to be reused as centerpieces for the guests tables at the reception), blue sashes for the chairs, fire dancers, and the white lycra-covered tower columns for lighting. The columns are pretty wicked too because they do the lighting inside the colums with whatever you colors are (in my case blue). Now she's just sending me some variation designs on their lounge furniture to go around the dance floor but its looking pretty swank - I'm loving it. As for communication - GIRL she is fabulous! Super nice, super professional and very prompt. She gives great feedback too whenever I ask for an honest opinion. Here's the kicker though - her name is Ana too hee hee.

Ohh wait I would really like to get more information on Zuniga Productions - I've been trying to figure out what to do about our welcome dinner - I don't want the standard party set up from dreams so I was looking into doing lounge furniture and a few tables but if I go through drc it's going to cost soooo much...I'm assuming you found the prices from this place to be a lot more reasonable then DRC?

How did you get in touch with them? I went to the website but it's not loading correctly so if you could pass the contact info along I'd really really appreciate it!

Thanks ladies!

Im hoping for an early May 2011 wedding!

Somethingblue, what's your date? Where is Susan Gill located? closer than Delta?
(sorry for al the questions!)
My date is December 6 2010. And Susan is located in Delta too. However, most of what we do is over email and phone. Which works well for me. We did meet once at a starbucks in Metrotown, that was a halfway point for her and I (we live in Vancouver). Susan is really quick to respond, and so is Liz actually. Its nice to know that when I email Susan I will probably hear back in a couple of hours.

I'm a newbie, and trying to get my posts up, but my wedding is coming so soon, I'm not sure I'll have enough time. Anyway, I'd appreciate anyone with any documents from Ana to email me - [email protected]. I'm going to book the ultimate package and need gold menu, cakes, pictures - basically everything since I'm just getting started. Thanks sooooo much! smile124.gif

I think some people just get legally married in the states then have a symbolic or renewal of vows type ceremony in Mexico.
We are doing a symbolic ceremony and getting married after we get back home. Ana said we still have to be there two business days before we get married (she said saturday counts). We arrive on a sat and have to wait until that tuesday to have our wedding...
