Precious Maui Wedding OR Paradise Maui Wedding????

I'd love to hear any feedback you have on either of these companies - positive or negative. I've seen a few comments on Deanne, mostly really good but I'd love to hear the feedback on all services provided with these two company's - coordinator themselves, officiants and photographers. I can't decide between these two companies and would be great to hear some real, personal experiences.

Thanks in advance

Crystal

My wedding is June 7th - so I don't actually have any experience with the vendors yet..

I am working with Deanne at Precious Maui Weddings. I can say that she is very nice, helpful, easy to work with, and responds to any emails/phone calls very quickly. Her prices are also very reasonable.

Hi Ladies.....

congrats to both of you on your engagement!!!!

I haven't booked with any one coordinator but I've been doing a whole lot of emailing and internet scouting. My experience so far is that Deanne from Precious Maui Weddings is very on top of things with no beating around the bush on her costs and who she deals with and gets back to you right away - alway's within the day.

I emailed Paradise Maui Weddings yesterday to ask some detailed questions and have yet to hear back from them. I realize my wedding is over a year away but it's worrisome if I were to put all of my eggs in their basket - would this be the urgency I would get then as well while planninghuh.gif??

So far I think I'm set on Precious Maui Weddings because of Deanne and all of her rave reviews but I'd still like to see what else is out there before booking.

I'll keep you posted on any other info I get.

We worked with Deanne for about eight months before our wedding day. She was extremely helpful over the phone and in terms of providing us information regarding the wedding license application. She also scheduled (and rescheduled due to a change in our plans) the appointment with the wedding license agent on our preferred date and time. Since we were married in the Catholic Church, Deanne handled the photographer, licensing, reception dinner, flowers, cake, champagne, etc. Everything worked out seamlessly and Deanne even called me when we arrived in Maui to go over the plans a final time. We were able to select from three different photographers; we chose Marbelle and could not be happier with our proofs. Our reception dinner at Plantation House was wonderful because Deanne arranged for a special table with a view of the ocean in a private enclave. The manager of the restaurant presented us with complimentary champagne and a card signed by all of the staff. The cake was delicious and all of the flowers were gorgeous. I would HIGHLY recommend that any bride work with her.

Laura&James - thanks for the feedback, you actually were one of the people who started convincing me in the beginning to look into Deanne and after looking into it I couldn't find any negative feedback on her and from personal exp in asking a few questions through email I love how prompt she was and seemed very helpful. We struggled a bit between Nancy and Marbelle but I think we're going to go with marbelle. How did you find her to work with? I love the photo's she takes but I also want to be sure that it's not just posed pics and also able capture the moment in the ceremony and also the more conventional wedding photo's - I guess I'm hoping for a good mix. Did you find you got a good variety with your pics?

Stacey - which photographer did you choose to go with?

Laura&James:

So we are working with Deanne and she has been very helpful. We are extremely interested in the Plantation House but do not know if i should work with them directly or have Deanne. She said it will cost us more to use her and since we are on a tight budget she said for us to call the Plantation House ourselves. We plan on having about 25 people and was curious what packages you went with at the Plantation house. If you could please give me more information it would be a huge help. You can write me a private message on here or email me at [email protected]

izbthlr - just thought I'd let you know that I booked the Olowalu Plantation House (I am assuming it is the same as Plantation Househuh.gif)directly to avoid paying a coordinator on the fee. It was SUPER EASY so definitely do it yourself. Once you figure out the date you want that is available with Donna the property manager and confirm you want it she sends you a contract that you have to return with the deposit within 30 days. You read the contract, sign it and send the deposit in and your done until your next payments! Call Donna, she was great and explained it all.

Hope this helps!
