Here is a detail shot of the flowers. We asked our florist to use inexpensive varieties for the tables (and splurged on the bouquet/boutonniere flowers since those were more important to me). I know the vases had green kermit mums, alstroemeria, and green hypericum berries.

Wow those are gorgeous! I would never know that you didn't splurge on these too. Very pretty!

Thanks Tonir. The table flowers were extra cheap because they were re-used the next day for a local chamber of commerce banquet. That's another way for brides to save money - see if you can share the centerpiece flower cost with another event, since you likely aren't going to have any use for them after your wedding reception. Those flower varieties were extremely long lasting, even in heat.

This is a photograph from our home reception...my hubby and I made them all! The branches were collected from our backyard, I glued on each individual flower, the glass vase is from Michaels along with the green hydrangeas. The votive candles came in packs of 12 for $8. My very talented husband wire each one (80 of them!) so they could hang on the branches. In total each centerpiece cost us about $40 and the results were incredible. We got tons of compliments!

hi everyone! just wanted to share my centerpiece inspiration. instead of using river rocks as a filler i'm going to use beach sand so it's one less thing to bring to mexico and i'll save money! i might buy a few artificial flowers or purchase single stems at a florist in mexico.

i bought these wooden planters at ikea which are about $5 each. i might tie a ribbon around it. i'm not sure if i should paint them white or if i should leave them raw for a more natural, beachy feel. not sure yet. thoughts?

since it's real sea fans won't pass through customs i'm going to buy artificial ones and maybe paint them or leave as is since red is one of wedding colors.
