I tried to get my TA to put a higher percentage in the contract but she said it doesn't matter b/c they usually don't give people a hard time. Is that true?

I was so angry at my fi for picking a place that no one can afford... why is MP so expensivehuh.gif he assures me it is worth it and that everything will be wonderful. I hope he is right!
We went over the 20% by one or two but I knew this well in advance and got my TA to help me get approval. Once I had it in writing. I didn't have to worry any more. There are strict rules on when they can come in and when they have to leave so I would recommend you start talking to them now and if you can't get anything in writing warn your guest that there may be problems.

As far as the price of the resort, it was worth every penny spent. This place is amazing!!

I've asked my wedding co-ordinator to clarify this many times for me, and keep getting told they don't require the apostille...just certified copies!

Hope this helps

Hi not sure if the USA and UK regs are different.I'm from UK flying with Virgin holidays. We were told we needed certified birth certificate (exact copy of your BC from the local registry office) this then needed to be sent to the foreign office in london (at a cost of £72!) for them to verify it is in fact a true document, stick a bit of paper on the back with an embossed stamp and send it back. We also needed a solicitor to photocopy our passports and sign and stamp to say we are who we say we are. Both docs were photocopied again and then forwarded onto Virgin. We keep the originals and take them with us.
Hope this helps.

Hello Ladies.. I am constantly on the moon palace 2010 thread because I am getting married July 3 2010. However, I keep forgetting to check this forum. So after I am done asking my question I am going to reconnect on this thread!

Past brides have you used either JandS or PSAV as your entertainment production? My fiance and I are planning on using one of the mp suggested company, but I would like to know your input. Also, my fiance is a dj in nyc and believe it or not we are contemplating using an actual dj system and just using an ipod set up.. Any thoughts? I would like a little band for our ceremony and possibly our cocktail hour.

THanks for the advice in advance. I will be checking in my often!

TonyandTricia, we couldn't find any rules against transporting the petals either. I even asked the vendor at flyboynaturals and she wasn't sure although she had said that she hadn't heard from any customer about problems at customs in Mexico. We lucked out because the petals were with my husband when we went through customs...i got the red light and he got the green. Tthe petals are freeze dried so that they look and feel just like real petals but they've been preserved. not sure if you can replant them. I'd suggest separating them into different suitcases so that if for some reason one of you gets the red light and they give you a hard time, you don't have to worry about all of your petals being together. They come in a plastic bag or bags depending on how many you purchased and they're light.

Ultimately, my experience with customs was a non-event. They opened my suitcase and once I mentioned wedding in Mexico, they shut the suitcase back up and said congratulations.

Your wedding is just around the corner!! Best of luck with your last minute details. You are going to have the time of your life!!
