Book for guests to sign

Recommended Posts

Ok, I was really against those traditional "guest books." You know the ones where guests sign it and give you advice. But then my WC told me about one bride she worked with that found a really pretty hardcover coffee table book about Cabo that she put out for her guests to pick a page and sign. I kind of like that idea. Has anyone else done anything like that or know of a cool Cabo coffee table book. I found one on Amazon called "Oasis of Stone" but I wanted to see if there was something better out there. Thanks for your help.

I have heard that before, I love the idea. I am having my guest sign a very wide ivory ribbon, and we are going to incorporate it in our wedding. I am actually having at my meet and greet on Sunday, so those who can not come with us can still sign their well wishes.

that's a pretty cool idea, actually....another idea (i think from someone one here) was to have ppl sign sand dollars and then put them in a big decorative jar to display at home.

we're not 'stuff' people, so i dont want another object that will sit on a shelf and collect dust; however i do want some kind of guest/best wishes book...so i'm thinking about either doing a plain guest book, or putting out tons of postcards for ppl to sign and putting them into a photo album which can sit on the shelf and collect dust.

I hear ya!!! I'm not a knick, knack person either. I don't want to end up with a ton of "wedding stuff" to display when we get back. But the coffee table book sounds good. It'll blend with my house better.

Jen, we are doing this with a coffee table book I purchase while we were down there a few months ago. It's called "Los Cabos - Baja California Sur" by Claude Vogel Thetion. It's a beautiful book.

We bought it in the gift shop at Fiesta Americana, but I remember seeing it at Costco as well.

We're going to put it on a high cocktail table with votives and fake coral for our guests to sign as they wish...

That way we have something to put on our bookshelf, coffee table, etc and remind us of our wedding, since we would never ever use a formal guest book with the lines on it for guests to just sign their names. I think this is more fun!

Okay....I love all of these ideas!! I too do not want a traditional guests book! I don't like clutter and i know I will never look at it again! since I scrapbook I was going to go with the scrapbook pages like stephanie I think did. However the postcard idea would be good too. I did like the idea of putting postcards in the oot bags and having guests mail those to us and add them into the scrapbook.

I really like the coffee table book though too!!! So do you think they just sign on random pageshuh.gif so that when you or someone at your house flips through the book they might come across the entry? Is that how it works?? I really like that!

AUTOGRAPH FIESTA DONKEY

I still can't believe I have these in my house and will be using them in the wedding. Not normal.
You are so awesome Kate. "Autograph Fiesta Donkey" - just saying that is fun.
