I will def. keep you posted. Im tempted to call the wedding planner in Turks. Rather than the WC in MIami.

Let us know what your TA says!

This is the EXACT reason we did a DW. $75 a person defeats the purpose! especially at an all inclusive resort! blahhhhhhh. Its semi bumming me out!shitfan.gif

That is ridiculous seeing that my wedding coordinator told me nothing came on those tables. So Im going to pay $100 for chairs and a table.. when before MS the tables were free with the free and basic wedding package.

Im annoyed with sandals and beaches and all their hidden costs and fees! Its annoying! Im bringing my own flowers.
Our *free* beautiful beginnings tables are *free*- 8 of them, not just one, I pushed to get it all booked and paid for to alleviate this stress- maybe that comes with the 3hr dinner reception, I dont know.

I encourage you to move up the chain in WCs if yours is not giving you adequate answers, and as per my attorney FI, get it all in writing.

You really have the right to not have this be such a stressful procedure. Set your budget and ask them to help you work within it. Once I was invoiced and paid, the stress has gone down 100%

(PS Super cute kitty!)

I should have been more clear, I am doing a two hour cocktail reception, and tables are NOT included for that, hence the $100 extra cost. For the sit down dinner, they are included in the cost.

And yes, as my fiancee and I are both attorneys, I second mrsgoodrich, get EVERYTHING in writing, email is best. I can't tell you how valuable it was to be able to reforward an email (with a time and date stamp) where they gave me misinformation. In retrospect, the email threads are comical, but I noticed that I would ask a direct question, and Sandals would respond with a non answer. Example, I asked if there would be an ipod dock provided and Sandals said "they reccommend I bring my own." Which doesn't really answer my question as to whether they have them there or not. When pushed, they admitted they did, but I Had to ask directly three times. They are well trained there to promise as little as possible in writing, probably to avoid nightmare brides like me!

NYCBridetoBe - I like your style. I emailed about the photography issue and have in writing that a guest of 3 nights or more is allowed to do photography.

Have any of you negotiated the cocktail receptions or sit-down dinners? Since they offer a half-hour reception if you book 10+ rooms, you could ask to have that cost (it says $15/pp) subtracted from the per person price of the reception or sit-down dinner, right?

Jenn,

Yes, we are staying in the Millionaire's Suite, actually doing the ceremony there, since all the beach weddings are public and as much as I like strangers, I don't like them yelling WHOO HOO at my wedding. I'll be sure to post pictures, I'm so excited. I've found tripadvisor has been awesome for info about the Millionaire's Suites!

Tifany, I'm flying in a photographer from NYC, and I got the same in writing. TA Jennifer is my TA and I've also copied her on everything. I think the people at Sandals are scared of her (in a good way) she really gets things done!

We're only having 14 people, so only 7 rooms, not enough for the free half hour reception or you better believe I'd be trying to get that thrown in too!

TA Jennifer is my TA also, she has been great so far! We decided to fly in our own photographer as well. We only have to pay for her room and flight, so it was still less expensive than buying pics from Sandals, she'll edit them and give us all the digital negatives to do with as we please.

When we looked at the Millionaire's Suite we decided if we couldn't book it, we weren't going! Haha! That's how amazed we were with the pics and the reviews sound incredible. In Jamaica we're staying in one of the Swim-Up Suites, my FI loved the idea of it!

I can't wait to hear everyone's reviews....I can't believe how fast time has flown by!
